Trans Mountain Oil Pipe Line Company
The Trans Mountain Pipeline System, or simply the Trans Mountain Pipeline, is a pipeline that carries crude and refined oil from Alberta to the coast of British Columbia, Canada. The pipeline is currently owned by the Government of Canada through Trans Mountain Corporation, a subsidiary of the federal Crown corporation Canada Development Investment Corporation (CDEV). Until the August 31, 2018 purchase by CDEV, the Trans Mountain Pipeline was owned by the Canadian division of Houston, Texas-based pipeline operator Kinder Morgan. The pipeline has been in use since 1953. It is the only pipeline to run between these two areas. A second span is being built roughly parallel to the existing pipeline, to expand the capacity from to . National Energy Board
The National Energy Board was an independent economic regulatory agency created in 1959 by the Government of Canada to oversee "international and inter-provincial aspects of the oil, gas and electric utility industries". Its head office was located in Calgary, Alberta. The NEB mainly regulated the construction and operation of oil and natural gas pipelines crossing provincial or international borders. The Board approved pipeline traffic, tolls and tariffs under the authority of the ''National Energy Board Act''. Pyramid Creek Falls Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada, located on the east side of the North Thompson River between the towns of Blue River (S) and Valemount (N). The Falls Pyramid Creek Falls occurs where glacier-fed Pyramid Creek tumbles out of a hanging valley & into the North Thompson River. The falls are, in total, about 300 feet high & drop that distance in 2 large drops. The second & largest of the 2 drops fans out near the bottom in the shape of a pyramid, hence its name.
