Tramore Valley Park
Tramore Valley Park is a park on the southside of Cork (city), Cork in Ireland. With an area of approximately , the park site is located on a landfill site which closed in 2009. While parts of the park opened in mid-2015 (including for BMX and parkrun events), and had been targeted to open more completely during 2016, the park was not completely opened until May 2019. It is managed by the Glen Resource Centre on behalf of Cork City Council. Development The park was designed to have an area of , and was developed on the site of the city's former landfill, which ceased operation in 2009. While parts of the park opened in mid-2015 (including a BMX track), and some events held in the park since September 2015 (including parkrun events), by late 2017, not all parts of the park had opened. Turners Cross, Cork
Turners Cross () is a ward on the south side of Cork City, and home to the Roman Catholic parish of the same name. Largely residential, one of the key features of the area is the iconic church created by architect Barry Byrne and sculptor John Storrs, the ''Church of Christ The King''. It was commissioned in 1927 by Rev Daniel Cohalan D.D., Bishop of Cork. The church was the first Irish church to be built from concrete instead of brick, and is one of the largest suspended-ceiling churches in Europe. Cogeneration or combined heat and power (CHP) is the use of a heat engine or power station to generate electricity and useful heat at the same time. Ballyphehane
Ballyphehane () is a suburb in the south of Cork in Ireland. It is one of the oldest suburbs in Cork and was created as part of a post-World War II initiative to create a model community in Cork. Between 1948 and 1993, a total of 11 housing schemes totalling 1,316 dwellings were built by Cork Corporation, now known as Cork City Council. N27 Road (Ireland)
The N27 road is a national primary road in Cork city, Ireland. The road forms a route from the city centre to Cork Airport, and onto the R600 connecting to the port town of Kinsale. The route runs out of the city centre along the following route: ''Michael Collins Bridge'', ''Custom House Street'', ''Éamon De Valera Bridge'', ''Albert Street'' and ''Old Market Road''. The bridges are across the two diverged parts of the River Lee which flow around the city centre. The ''South Link Road'' was opened to traffic in May 1985.
