Tracey Eide
Tracey J. Eide (born July 31, 1954) is a Democratic Party member of the Washington State Senate. She has represented the 30th Washington Legislative District in the Washington State Senate since 1999. Eide has served as the Majority Floor Leader for the Senate since 2005. Earlier in Eide's Senate tenure she served as Majority Whip from 2001 to 2002 and Minority Whip from 2003 to 2004. Currently, Eide serves as vice-chair of the Senate Transportation Committee. Washington's 30th Legislative District
Washington's 30th legislative district is one of forty-nine districts in Washington state for representation in the state legislature. It is mostly in King County with a small section in Pierce County. It covers the cities of Federal Way, Des Moines, Auburn, Algona, Pacific, and Milton, as well as unincorporated parts of King County. The district's legislators are state senator Claire Wilson and state representatives Jamila Taylor (position 1) and Jesse Johnson (position 2), all Democrats. Washington State Senate
The Washington State Senate is the upper house of the Washington State Legislature. The body consists of 49 members, each representing a district with a population of nearly 160,000. The State Senate meets at the Legislative Building in Olympia. As with the lower House of Representatives, state senators serve without term limits, though senators serve four-year terms. Senators are elected from the same legislative districts as House members, with each district electing one senator and two representatives. Terms are staggered so that half the Senate is up for reelection every two years. Des Moines ( ) is a city in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 32,888 as of the 2020 census. The city is located on the east shore of Puget Sound, near the center of the Seattle metropolitan area. It is bordered by the suburbs of Federal Way to the south, Kent to the east, SeaTac to the northeast, Burien to the north, and Normandy Park to the northwest.
