Washington's 30th Legislative District
Washington's 30th legislative district is one of forty-nine districts in Washington state for representation in the state legislature. It is mostly in King County with a small section in Pierce County. It covers the cities of Federal Way, Des Moines, Auburn, Algona, Pacific, and Milton, as well as unincorporated parts of King County. The district's legislators are state senator Claire Wilson and state representatives Jamila Taylor (position 1) and Jesse Johnson (position 2), all Democrats. Peter G. von Reichbauer (born December 30, 1944) is an American businessman and politician serving as a member of the nonpartisan King County Council, representing District 7, a region of South King County which includes all of the cities of Algona and Federal Way, the entire King County portions of Auburn, Milton, and Pacific and large unincorporated areas. Prior to his election to the council, von Reichbauer served as a Washington State Senator for the 30th Legislative District (representing South King County and North Pierce County) between 1973 and 1994. Tracey J. Eide (born July 31, 1954) is a Democratic Party member of the Washington State Senate. She has represented the 30th Washington Legislative District in the Washington State Senate since 1999. Eide has served as the Majority Floor Leader for the Senate since 2005.
