Townsville RSL Stadium
The Townsville Stadium (previously Townsville RSL Stadium) is a multi-purpose indoor venue located at the Murray Sporting Complex in Annandale, Queensland. The facility features an international standard wooden sports floor, multi-purpose function rooms, a public gym, stadium administration and the Townsville City Council. The Stadium, which opened in 2011, is owned and operated by the City of Townsville, has a total spectator capacity of 2,500 (1,700 seated) and is the home court of the Townsville Fire ( WNBL). From the 2014–15 NBL season, the Townsville Crocodiles moved out of their long time home, the Townsville Entertainment Centre, and into the RSL Stadium. Annandale, Queensland
Annandale is a suburb of Townsville in the City of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. In the , Annandale had a population of 8,574 people. Geography Annandale borders the southern side of Ross River. It is the biggest suburb of Townsville and thus the most populated in the city. History Annandale was the largest planned housing development in Townsville. Badminton
Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "doubles" (with two players per side). Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side's half of the court. Each side may only strike the shuttlecock once before it passes over the net. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules.
