Geography

Annandale borders the southern side of Ross River. It is the biggest suburb of Townsville and thus the most populated in the city.


History

Annandale was the largest planned housing development in Townsville. Construction started in the mid-1970s and was completed in early 2005. Annandale is one of Townsville's newest suburbs and is home to some of Townsville's wealthy, who live more toward the riverbank. Before the 2006 Queensland state election, Annandale was part of the
