Tourza (Arabic: طورزا) is a municipality in the Bsharri District, North Governorate of Lebanon. Bsharri District
Bsharri District is one of the 7 districts (''qadaa, قضاء'') of the North Governorate, Lebanon. Overview and geography Surrounded by mountains, the Bsharri District sits on cliffs. The district is bordered by the Zgharta and Miniyeh-Danniyeh Districts to the north, the Koura District to the west, the Baalbek District to the east, and the Batroun District to the south. This district is a grouping of 26 villages and most are at an elevation higher than 1,000 meters. Mazraat En Nahr ( ar, مزرعة النهر), also spelled Mazret Al Nahr, Mazraat El Nahr or Mazraat Al Nahr, is a village located on the border line of the Zgharta District and the Bsharri District in the North Governorate of Lebanon. Situated in the Valley of Qadisha, between the villages of villages Tourza and Sereel, Mazraat En Nahr is considered a holy and spiritual place in Eastern Christianity. Etymology/Demographics Mazraat Al Nahr is a Lebanese word meaning “Farm/Planting by the river.” The name derives from the agricultural production of potatoes, onions, fruits, and vegetables all by the side river of El Karya and El Ghar Spring. Governorates Of Lebanon
Lebanon is divided into nine governorates (''muhafazah''). Each governorate is headed by a governor (''muhafiz''): All of the governorates except for Beirut and Akkar are divided into districts, which are further subdivided into municipalities. The newest governorate is Keserwan-Jbeil, which was gazetted on 7 September 2017 but whose first governor, Pauline Deeb, was not appointed until 2020. Eastern European Summer Time (EEST) is one of the names of the UTC+03:00 time zone, which is 3 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time.
