The UCI Continental Circuits are a series of road bicycle racing competitions which were introduced in 2005 by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) to expand cycling around the world. Luca Wackermann (born 13 March 1992 in Rho) is an Italian cyclist, who last rode for UCI ProTeam . In October 2020, he was named in the startlist for the 2020 Giro d'Italia. However, at the end of stage 4, Wackermann was involved in a crash caused by a low-flying helicopter that blew some crash barriers into him. Wackermann suffered a broken nose and a suspected broken back in the incident. Hichem Chaabane ( ar, هشام شعبان; born 10 August 1988 in Blida) is an Algerian former professional road cyclist. He represented his nation Algeria at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Career Riding for , Chaabane qualified for the Algerian squad, as a 19-year-old, in the men's road race at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing by receiving a berth and finishing fourth from stage four of Giro del Capo in Cape Town, South Africa. Passing through the km mark, Chaabane could not achieve a best possible result with a severe fatigue under Beijing's intense heat and a lapped violation, as he failed to complete a grueling race against a vast field of nearly a hundred cyclists.
