Toshio Fujiwara
Toshio Fujiwara (藤原 敏男 ''Fujiwara Toshio'', born March 3, 1948) is a Japanese former kickboxer. Out of 141 professional fights before retiring at age 35, Fujiwara won 126, with a remarkable 99 by knockout; most notably, he was the first non-Thai to win a national Muay Thai title belt in Bangkok, a fact that many older Thais still remember and respect about him. Fujiwara became the first ever non-Thai stadium champion in 1978 when he won the lightweight title at Rajadamnern Stadium. Biography and career A graduate from the Chuo University, he started training kickboxing at the Mejiro Gym in July 1969, learning under Kenji Kurosaki. He soon won the All Japan Kickboxing Federation championship, and did his first travels to Thailand in 1971. In 1975, he had surgery to his left shin which left him hospitalised for 6 weeks. Satoru Sayama
(born November 27, 1957) is a Japanese professional wrestler, mixed martial artist, MMA and wrestling promoter and writer, best known as the original Tiger Mask. He has wrestled under his real name as well as the names Sammy Lee, and masked Super Tiger, Tiger King, Tiger Mask and The Mask of Tiger. He is the only man to hold the WWF Junior Heavyweight Championship and the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship simultaneously. Sayama has the distinction of being a competitor (along with "Dynamite Kid" Thomas Billington) in the first 5 Star Rating awarded for a Match by Dave Meltzer, for their NJPW Sumo Hall Show 1983 match. Yoshimitsu Tamashiro
is a name used by three different characters who appear in the ''Tekken'' and ''Soulcalibur'' series of fighting games by Namco. The first version of Yoshimitsu made his debut in the original ''Tekken'' in 1994. The second version of Yoshimitsu appeared in every ''Soulcalibur'' game since the 1998 self-titled installment except for 2012's ''Soulcalibur V'', which instead features a third version of the character, informally known as Yoshimitsu II. The Rajamangala National Stadium ( th, ราชมังคลากีฬาสถาน; , ) is the national stadium of Thailand. It is part of the Hua Mak Sports Complex, and is located in Hua Mak Subdistrict, Bang Kapi, Bangkok. Shozo Saijo
is a Japanese former professional boxer from Saitama. He is a former WBA featherweight champion. Biography Saijo made his professional debut in August, 1964, but did not show immediate promise in the ring, losing or drawing against several lowly regarded fighters. He traveled to the United States, where he fought three times before meeting WBA featherweight champion Raul Rojas in a non-title match. Saijo won by decision, and challenged Rojas for the title on September 27, 1968 in Los Angeles. He defeated Rojas for the second time, becoming the seventh Japanese boxer to win a world title, and the first Japanese boxer to win a title fighting outside Japan. He defended the title a total of six times before losing to Antonio Gomez in 1971. Sirimongkol Luksiripat ( th, ศิริมงคล ลูกศิริพัฒน์) was a Thai Muay Thai fighter. Biography and career Kasem Prapaisri was born in 1946 in Paedriew, Chachoengsao Province, once classmate with famous promotor Songchai Rattanasuban he had his first Muay Thai fight at the age of 17 using the ring name "Sukkasem Luksiyaek". During his second fight in his native province Kasem beat Usmannoi Luklong by knockout, Usmannoi would die from the injury sustained during the fight. The media reported on that event and he was dubbed "the Executionner from Padriew", it's with this reputation that he came to fight in Bangkok with very little experience using the ring name "Sukkasem Sor.Sanguansak". Lumpinee Boxing Stadium ( th, สนามเวทีมวยลุมพินี) is a sporting arena in Bangkok, Thailand. The stadium is named after Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha. Opened more than a decade later than Rajadamnern Stadium, Lumpinee is run by the Royal Thai Army. It has become the symbol of modern Muay Thai. Only Rajadamnern Stadium rivals the prestige of holding the title of "Muay Thai Champion of Lumpinee". Pudpadnoi Worawut ( th, ผุดผาดน้อย วรวุฒิ) is a Thai Muay Thai fighter who competed in the 1970s. He is recognized as one of the greatest Muay Thai fighters of all time. Biography and career Ponn Ommklin started Muay Thai at the age of 14 in his native province of Khon Kaen, following the steps of his older brother. His parents wouldn't let him pursue Muay Thai full time before graduating high school which he did in 1969. During that period Pudpanoi competed in Isan over 60 times and went undefeated.
