Tosham
Tosham is a town and a Gram Panchayat on the foot of Tosham Hill range in Bhiwani district in the Indian state of Haryana. It has been awarded the title of "Adarsh Village". It is situated in the foothill of Tosham hill range of Aravali Mountain Range. The hill has several historic places, such as forts, carvings, paintings, temples, sacred ponds, dating as far back 1800 years. It is a rural area. The mountain an important biodiversity area within the "western-southern Haryana" spur of the Northern Aravalli leopard wildlife corridor, but remains at due to the polluting and ecologically destructive unsustainable mining activities. Tosham Rock Inscription
The Tosham rock inscription, dating from the 4th or 5th century, on Tosham hill in Tosham town of Haryana state in India, is an epigraph documenting the establishment of a monastery and the building of water tanks for followers of the Satvata (ancient Yadava kingdom. They also built the Kalayat Ancient Bricks Temple Complex) and may have been vassals of the Satavahana dynasty which disintegrated into smaller kingdoms during 3rd century during the time of Gupta Empire. Location Tosham or Toshām is located in Bhiwani District, Haryana, India. The inscription is carved on a smooth rock face, high above about the town. Bhiwani District
Bhiwani district is one of the 22 districts of the northern Indian state of Haryana. The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) is a public agency in Pakistan and India that is responsible for west coast to East coast to Middle east water supply. During natural disasters the agency has the responsibility to get drinking water to the public as well as collaborating with aid organisations for this purpose.
