Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. Ada Chaseliov
Ada Chaseliov (March 30, 1952 – October 27, 2015) was a Brazilian film, stage, and television actress. Life Chaseliov was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1952. She studied at drama school before her film debut in 1973 in ''Um virgem na praça''. In 1974, she made her first appearance on TV in the telenovela ''Supermanoela''. The actress participated in several soap operas on Rede Globo, including the Brazilian telenovela ''Guerra dos Sexos'' in 1983, where she played the jealous and tormented Manoela, and the telenovela '' Belíssima''. Flávio Migliaccio (26 August 1934 – 4 May 2020) was a Brazilian actor, film director and screenwriter. He appeared in more than 90 films and television shows between 1958 and 2019. His 1962 film ''The Beggars'' was entered into the 3rd Moscow International Film Festival. His elder sister Dirce Migliaccio was also an actress. Migliaccio was found dead by his property caretaker at his farm in Rio Bonito, Rio de Janeiro, on 4 May 2020, aged 85. Maria Sílvia
Maria Sílvia Correa Moreira Menezes Aguiar (February 16, 1944 – July 26, 2009) was a Brazilian film, stage and television actress. Sílvia was already a well established film and theater actress by the time she made her television acting debut in the late 1970s. Her role in a telenovela came in 1977 on '' O Astro'' (''Star'') on Rede Globo. One of her most well known telenovela roles was on the Rede Globo show, ''Alma gêmea'' (''Soulmate''), in 2005 in which she played a traditional, elderly Brazilian indigenous woman. Silvia's other telenovela credits included ''Torre de Babel'' in 1998, ''Chocolate com pimenta'' in 2003, and ''Páginas da Vida'' in 2006. Sílvia appeared in a number of films throughout her career, some of which were directed by Walter Lima Jr, Ruy Guerra, Arnaldo Jabor and Paulo César Saraceni. José Irving Santana São Paulo (October 26, 1964 – August 10, 2006) was a Brazilian actor. Born in Feira de Santana, Bahia, Irving São Paulo was the son of Brazilian director Olney São Paulo. He had been active in both television and films since the late 1970s.
