Toronto International Trap And Skeet Club
The Toronto International Trap and Skeet Club is a shooting facility located in Innisfil, Ontario. Despite the name, the facility is located 75 kilometres north of the city. The facility opened in 1970 and in 2014 it was officially named the host venue of the shooting events at the 2015 Pan American Games scheduled in July 2015 in Toronto, where it was known as the Pan Am Shooting Centre. For the games a new permanent combined 25-metre and 50-metre range, a new separate 10-metre air rifle range and improvements two of the already existing trap and skeet ranges were built and renovated. During the Games the facility was known as the Pan Am Shooting Centre. Innisfil is a town in Ontario, Canada, located on the western shore of Lake Simcoe in Simcoe County, immediately south of Barrie and north of Toronto. Shooting At The 2015 Pan American Games
Shooting competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto were held from July 12 to 19 at the Toronto International Trap and Skeet Club (Pan Am Shooting Centre) in Innisfil. The competition was split into three disciplines, pistol, rifle and shotgun, which were further divided into different events. Men competed in nine events, with the women competing in six events for a total of 15 gold medals awarded. The winners of all fifteen events, along with the runner up in the men's air rifle, skeet, trap and both women's rifle events would qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (granted the athlete has not yet earned a quota for their country).
