Tormenta FC (W-League)
South Georgia Tormenta FC Women is an American women's soccer team, that began play in 2022 in USL W League. They are an affiliate of South Georgia Tormenta FC, a men's team in the USL League One. History On June 8, 2021, it was announced that Tormenta would be one of the eight founding members of the new league. Tormenta FC women will play their home games at Optim Health System Field, currently under construction in Statesboro, Georgia. The USL W League (USLW) is a pre-professional women's soccer league in the United States which began play in May 2022. It was announced on June 8, 2021 by the United Soccer League with eight founding clubs. It follows the USL W-League, a similar league that existed from 1995 to 2015. At launch, the USL said the inaugural season would include at least 30 teams. Minnesota Aurora FC is an American women's soccer club based in Eagan, Minnesota that plays in the Heartland Division of the USL W League. The club began play in the league's inaugural 2022 season as a founding club. The club is community-owned by 3,080 individuals. The club plays its home games at TCO Stadium in Eagan, Minnesota, the same stadium the Minnesota Vikings use for practice. The team introduced their coaching staff a few days later, naming Nicole Lukic as the head coach and ensuring the team would be women-led. Overtime (sports)
Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. In some sports, this extra period is played only if the game is required to have a clear winner, as in single-elimination tournaments where only one team or players can advance to the next round or win the tournament.
