The Torch Tower is a Skyscraper, supertall skyscraper under construction at the Tokyo Torch redevelopment district in Tokyo, Japan. Scheduled to be completed in 2028, it will be the tallest building in Japan, surpassing the nearby Azabudai Hills Main Tower. Location The tall skyscraper will be the focal point of a redevelopment district called Tokyo Torch, near Tokyo Station. It will also feature a second skyscraper, the tall Tokiwabashi Tower, which was completed in June 2021. Building The Torch Tower will have 67 floors in total, 63 above ground and four below ground. Floors 7 through 53 will be used for offices, while higher floors will be home to a luxury hotel and an observation deck, where visitors can view Tokyo Bay and Mount Fuji, Japan's tallest mountain. Tokyo Torch is a large-scale redevelopment district near Tokyo Station in Tokyo, Japan. It will consist of two skyscrapers: * Tokiwabashi Tower (completed in 2021) * Torch Tower (Japan), Torch Tower (scheduled to be completed in 2027 as Japan's tallest building) In addition to the skyscrapers, the district will have two other buildings. In total, it will cover a 31,400-square-meter area near the Marunouchi commercial district. Seeing a strong demand for office space, developer Mitsubishi Estate said it was building the district to create renewed interest in the area as a business destination.
