The ''Billboard'' Hot Latin Songs (formerly Hot Latin Tracks and Hot Latin 50) is a record chart in the United States for Latin songs, published weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. Since October 2012, chart rankings are based on digital sales, radio airplay, and online streaming, and only predominantly Spanish language songs are allowed to rank. The chart was established by the magazine on September 6, 1986, and was originally based on airplay on Latin music radio stations. Songs on the chart were not necessarily in Spanish language, since a few songs in English and Portuguese language have also charted. The first number one song of the Hot Latin Songs chart was " La Guirnalda" by Rocío Dúrcal on September 6, 1986. As of the issue for the week ending on December 24, 2022, the chart has had 452 different number one hits, while 181 artists have reached number one (as a lead or a featured act). Regional Mexican Airplay
Regional Mexican Airplay (also referred to as Regional Mexican Songs) is a record chart published by ''Billboard'' magazine. It was established by the magazine on October 8, 1994, with "La Niña Fresa" by Banda Zeta being the first number-one song on the chart. The chart mainly focuses on musical styles originating from Mexico including Mariachi, Norteño, Banda and Duranguense as well as the Mexican American community in the United States such as Tejano. These genres are collectively referred to as "Regional Mexican" under the Latin music umbrella. This chart features only singles or tracks and like most ''Billboard'' charts, is based on airplay; the radio charts are compiled using information tracked by from Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems (BDS), which electronically monitors radio stations in more than 140 markets across the United States. Luís Filipe Fraga Oliveira (; born 27 May 1983), better known by his stage name Lucenzo (), is a Portuguese–French reggaeton recording artist and record producer. His parents emigrated to France, from Portugal. Lucenzo, when began his singing career, signed with the Universal Music record label, to which he is still today. He is best known for his dance hit with rapper Big Ali, " Vem dançar Kuduro". William Omar Landrón Rivera (born February 10, 1978), better known by his stage name Don Omar, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer and actor. The ''Billboard'' Latin Digital Songs, or Latin Digital Song Sales, is a record chart that ranks the best-selling Spanish-language digital songs in the United States, as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and published weekly by '' Billboard''. It was introduced in the issue dated January 23, 2010 and merges all versions of a song sold from digital music distributors. Its data was incorporated in the Hot Latin Songs chart on October 22, 2012. As of the issue for the week ending on May 1, 2021, "Canción Bonita" by Carlos Vives and Ricky Martin is at number one. Latin Airplay is a chart published weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine in the United States. It was established on October 20, 2012. This chart lists the 50 most-played songs on Spanish-language radio stations across the country as monitored by Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems (BDS) weighted to each station's Nielsen ratings. It is based on the Hot Latin Songs chart's former methodology prior to October 20, 2012 which was revamped afterwards to rank the best-performing Spanish-language songs based on streaming, digital downloads, and airplay from all radio stations in the US. Although the Latin Airplay was launched on October 20, 2012, it retroactively includes songs that ranked on the Hot Latin Songs since the issue dated November 12, 1994, which was when the ''Billboard'' began incorporating Nielsen BDS to the Hot Latin Songs chart methodology. "Yo No Sé Que Me Pasó" ("I Do Not Know What Happened To Me") is a song written, produced and performed by Mexican singer-songwriter Juan Gabriel. It was released in 1986 as the first single from his studio album ''Pensamientos''. This song deals with the end of a love relationship, falling out of love.
