Top 10 (comics)
''Top 10'' is a superhero comic book limited series published by the America's Best Comics imprint of Wildstorm, itself an imprint of DC Comics. Written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Gene Ha and Zander Cannon, the series details the lives and work of the police force of Neopolis, a city in which almost everyone, from the police and criminals to civilians, children and even pets, has super powers and/or colourful costumes. The series led to the production of several spin-offs; '' Smax'', which was set directly after the series' conclusion; '' Top 10: The Forty-Niners'', which is set in 1949; ''Top Ten: Beyond the Farthest Precinct'', which is set five years after the series' conclusion; and ''Top Ten Season Two'', penned by Zander Cannon. Alex Ross
Nelson Alexander Ross (born January 22, 1970) is an American comic book writer and artist known primarily for his painted interiors, covers, and design work. He first became known with the 1994 miniseries ''Marvels'', on which he collaborated with writer Kurt Busiek for Marvel Comics. He has since done a variety of projects for both Marvel and DC Comics, such as the 1996 miniseries '' Kingdom Come'', which Ross co-wrote. Since then he has done covers and character designs for Busiek's series ''Astro City'', and various projects for Dynamite Entertainment. Robin (comics)
Robin is the alias of several superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was originally created by Bob Kane, Bill Finger, and Jerry Robinson, to serve as a junior counterpart and the sidekick to the superhero Batman. As a team, Batman and Robin have commonly been referred to as the ''Caped Crusaders'' and the ''Dynamic Duo''. The character's first incarnation, Dick Grayson, debuted in '' Detective Comics'' #38 (April 1940). This is a list of '' Top 10'' characters. ''Top 10'' is a comic book series published by Wildstorm Comics under their America's Best Comics imprint. All characters were created by Alan Moore unless otherwise stated. The following list includes characters from the original twelve issue series that ran from 2000–2001, the five issue '' Smax'' mini-series (2003), and the five issue mini-series '' Top 10: Beyond The Farthest Precinct'' (2005). Officers Top 10 is the tenth precinct in a multiversal police force. Shadi Petosky
Shadi Petosky is a television show runner. She is best known for her work on ''Danger & Eggs'' and ''The Sandman'' (2022 TV series). Early life Petosky was born in Kalispell, Montana, growing up in a rural area. Petosky cites Ani DiFranco and folk music in general as early positive influences in her life. As she noted years later, she spent time in Gwinn, Michigan, with her family living on U.S. Air Force bases. Later describing herself as "total AV club / film / theater kid," who read independent comic books in high school, and "devouring" many videos at the video store, she noted that she has been a "victim of violence" in that early part of her life, and onward because she was "a loud, queer kid in a rural area." Kevin Cannon
Kevin Cannon is an American cartoonist and illustrator. Life and career Cannon first published work was ''Johnny Cavalier'', published by Grinnell College Press, which included 100 pages of weekly strips that originally ran in the ''Scarlet and Black''. While attending Grinnell, Kevin was often asked if he was Zander Cannon's brother, though the two bear no relation. This caused him to contact Zander at The Handicraft Guild in Minneapolis and began work as his assistant. Kevin did background illustrations for ''Smax'', published by DC Comics and illustrated '' The Handsome Prince'' by author Tom Hegg. Kevin and Zander's working relationship eventually led to their founding of Big Time Attic with Shad Petosky. With Zander he went on to write the sequel to Alan Moore's '' Top Ten''. Jerry Ordway
Jeremiah Ordway (born November 28, 1957) is an American writer, penciller, inker and painter of comic books. He is known for his inking work on a wide variety of DC Comics titles, including the continuity-redefining ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'' (1985–1986), his long run working on the Superman titles from 1986 to 1993, and for writing and painting the Captain Marvel original graphic novel ''The Power of Shazam!'' (1994), and writing the ongoing monthly series from 1995 to 1999. He has provided inks for artists such as Curt Swan, Jack Kirby, Gil Kane, John Buscema, Steve Ditko, John Byrne, George Perez and others. Paul Di Filippo (born October 29, 1954) is an American science fiction writer. He is a regular reviewer for print magazines ''Asimov's Science Fiction'', ''The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction'', ''Science Fiction Eye'', ''The New York Review of Science Fiction'', '' Interzone'', and ''Nova Express'', as well as online at ''Science Fiction Weekly''. A graphic novel is a long-form, fictional work of sequential art. The term ''graphic novel'' is often applied broadly, including fiction, non-fiction, and anthologized work, though this practice is highly contested by comic scholars and industry professionals.
