Toolleen is a town in northern Victoria, Australia. The town is on the Northern Highway and is in the Shire of Campaspe and the City of Greater Bendigo local government areas, north of the state capital, Melbourne. At the , Toolleen and the surrounding area had a population of 182. Echuca ( ) is a town on the banks of the Murray River and Campaspe River in Victoria, Australia. The border town of Moama is adjacent on the northern side of the Murray River in New South Wales. Beechworth is a well-preserved historical town located in the north-east of Victoria, Australia, famous for its major growth during the gold rush days of the mid-1850s. Rushworth, Victoria
Rushworth is a township in Victoria, Australia. It is located north of Melbourne and, at the 2016 Census, had a population of 1,335. History Rushworth was established during the Victorian gold rush in 1853. It was named by poet and later local Goldfields Commissioner Richard Henry Horne in 1854. Its post office opened on 16 September 1857. The goldfields became no longer viable due to the underground water table and were closed during the gold rush. Heathcote is a town in central Victoria, Australia, situated on the Northern Highway 110 kilometres north of Melbourne and 40 kilometres south-east of Bendigo via the McIvor Highway. Northern Highway, Victoria
The Northern Highway is a secondary highway in northern Victoria. Along with the M/A79 Calder Highway (Melbourne to Mildura) and the M/A39 Goulburn Valley Highway (Melbourne to Tocumwal), it provides primary arterial links in the region. In conjunction with the B280 McIvor Highway, the B75 Northern Highway provides an important link between Melbourne and Bendigo.
