Tony Johnston (born 9 April 1970) is an Australian television presenter, producer and radio broadcaster. Tony began his career in 1986, as a presenter on the music video show ''Saturday Jukebox'' on the Seven Network in Australia. World Radio Switzerland
World Radio Switzerland (WRS) is the only 24-hour, English-language broadcast radio station in Switzerland. Until October 2013, it broadcast on 101.7 MHz FM in the Lake Geneva region, and now continues on DAB+ digital radio across Switzerland. ABC Gold Coast
ABC Gold Coast (ACMA callsign: 4ABCRR) is an ABC Local Radio station. Based in the suburb of Mermaid Beach, the station broadcasts to the Gold Coast and surrounding hinterland in Queensland, covering as far south as Byron Bay in New South Wales. The station started life in 1952 as 4SO, operating as a relay from Toowoomba of the ABC Regional Network, transmitting on a frequency of 1590 kHz (changed in 1978 to 1593 kHz to fit in with the revised 9 kHz spacing). Its ''persona'' changed dramatically in 1983 when it was branded as ''1593AM 4SO Gold Coast Rock'' to target the youth market, then became 91.7 ABC Coast FM when it began broadcasting on the FM band in 1989. ABC Radio Brisbane (callsign: 4QR) is an ABC Local Radio station in Brisbane, Queensland. It is one of the largest stations in the network, serving as a base for Queensland programming - many programs are broadcast across the ABC Local Radio network in regional and rural areas of Queensland when those stations are not carrying local programming. ''The Great South East'' is a Queensland-based lifestyle program screening on the Seven Network which screened from 1997 until 2016. It was replaced by a similarly themed show ''The Great Day Out'' in 2017. Wipeout (1999 Australian Game Show)
''Wipeout'' was an Australian game show that aired on the Seven Network from 15 February 1999 to 24 November 2000. The show was based on the original American series of the same title and was hosted by Tony Johnston. This version was the only one to use children as contestants, and in turn used points instead of dollars due to a law in Australia and Europe which prohibits children from winning money on game shows. After the show was cancelled, it was rerun until 2004. Format First two rounds The game was played with computer-driven game boards shown on a large screen. The correct answers were indicated by checkmarks and the Wipeouts were indicated by crosses. There were generally twelve correct answers and four Wipeouts per board.
