Tony Hajjar
Tony Hajjar (born August 17, 1974) is a Lebanese American drummer, best known for playing in At the Drive-In and Sparta. As of 2016, he is playing in the reformed At The Drive-In, as well as the new group, Gone Is Gone. Tony also produced and drummed on the forthcoming New Language record. Both New Language and Gone Is Gone made their live debuts on April 27, 2016 to a sold out crowd at the Dragonfly in Los Angeles. Biography Hajjar was born in Beirut, Lebanon. His family fled Lebanon during the Civil War, moving to the United States and settling in El Paso, Texas. When Hajjar was fourteen his mother died from cancer and his father, who had been distant, left the family. His brother, only 18 years old at the time, assumed responsibility for the family and raised Tony and his sister. Frequency Festival
The FM4 Frequency Festival, also Frequency Festival or just Frequency, formerly Vienna City Festival, is a Music festival#Rock Music festivals, music festival. Until 2008, it took place near Salzburg Austria, usually every August. In 2009, the Festival moved to Sankt Pölten, St. Pölten. It is promoted by one of Austria's national radio stations, FM4, and is generally associated with the alternative part of mainstream music. Cancer
Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body. These contrast with benign tumors, which do not spread. Possible signs and symptoms include a lump, abnormal bleeding, prolonged cough, unexplained weight loss, and a change in bowel movements. ''This Station Is Non-Operational'' is a compilation album by El Paso, Texas-based post-hardcore band At the Drive-In, released May 24, 2005 by Fearless Records, four years after the band went on indefinite hiatus. Its tracks span the band's career from 1997 to 2000, with selections from '' El Gran Orgo'' (1997), '' In/Casino/Out'' (1998), '' Vaya'' (1999), and ''Relationship of Command'' (2000), as well as several rare tracks taken from singles and a previously unreleased cover version of The Smiths' "This Night Has Opened My Eyes". ''Vaya'' is the fourth EP by American post-hardcore band At the Drive-In, released in 1999. Writing "198d" was written about drummer Tony Hajjar's grandmother, who was buried in a mass grave in Lebanon. The title was taken from an inscription on her gravestone. The sound of the album bridges the musical gap between '' In/Casino/Out'' and their following album, ''Relationship of Command''. Artwork The EP's cover features a Conion 100CF boombox which belonged to the band, and was used as a frequent prop during ''Vaya'' period, appearing in their photoshoots, gig flyers and on stage during most of their live performances. ''In/Casino/Out'' (stylized as ''in/CASINO/OUT'') is the second full-length album by American post-hardcore band At the Drive-In, released on August 18, 1998, through Fearless Records. It was recorded as a live studio album, with the intention of better capturing the energy and sound of their live shows. The album marks a clear middle ground between the raw, lo-fi sound of their first album, ''Acrobatic Tenement'', and the sleeker, more produced sound heard on ''Relationship of Command''. El Gran Orgo
''El Gran Orgo'' is the third EP by American post-hardcore band At the Drive-In. It was recorded and released in 1997 without the presence of Jim Ward, whose guitar duties were filled by Ben Rodriguez and Omar Rodriguez, the latter of whom had previously played bass on ''Acrobatic Tenement''. The Title "El Gran Orgo" is taken from one of the characters of the movie ''Santa Sangre'' by Alejandro Jodorowsky. Both Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala are declared fans of Jodorowsky's work. The band intended to embark on a 100 day long tour to support the EP's release, but release date delays and the falling out between Rodriguez and the rest of the band caused the tour to end after only 2 weeks. The group, unhappy with the delays of the EP, parted ways with Offtime Records, and attempted to file a lawsuit against the label to obtain the masters. ''Threes'' is the third studio album by Sparta. The album was released on October 24, 2006, and peaked at number 83 on the ''Billboard'' 200. It is their first album with new guitarist Keeley Davis, previously of Engine Down and Denali. The album was made available for streaming several days before its release on the band's MySpace site. A leaked copy of the album surfaced on the internet as well during early October 2006. Initial reviews were mixed, ranging from average to excellent (see reviews section). The album is generally considered to be darker and more complex than previous offerings, differing greatly from previous material in some places with callbacks in others. ''Stay on My Side Tonight'' is a five-track EP released by Jimmy Eat World through downloads on September 13, 2005 and physically released on October 4, 2005. It consists of three unreleased songs, a cover of the Heatmiser song "Half Right", and a remix of the ''Futures'' track "Drugs or Me". The title of the album is taken from a line in the song "Disintegration", the EP's opening track. Reception ''Stay on My Side Tonight'' received a positive review from Tim Sendra of AllMusic, who praised the three outtakes as possibly better than ''Futures'' and with "more life and power than one might expect", but calling the other tracks "interesting but not vital". IGN's Chris Carle rated the release a 6.5 out of 10, with reverse preferences: he wrote that the remix is the best song on the EP and the first three tracks "glide by forgettably, awash in a sea of jangly, same-sounding guitar riffs". Jimmy Eat World is an American rock band formed in 1993 in Mesa, Arizona. The band is composed of lead vocalist and lead guitarist Jim Adkins, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Tom Linton, bassist Rick Burch, and drummer Zach Lind. Jim Ward (musician)
James David Ward (born September 19, 1976) is an American musician. A self-taught guitarist and pianist, he is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the band Sparta; he is also a co-founder of the post-hardcore band At the Drive-In, which he formed in 1993 when he was 17 years old. At the Drive-In While in At the Drive-In, Ward played guitar and sang backup vocals, as well as playing piano and keyboards on select songs. He performed lead vocals on two tracks, entitled ''"Hourglass"'' and ''"Ursa Minor"'', as well as singing co-lead with lead vocalist Cedric Bixler-Zavala on a number of tracks. Using the money from his college savings, he created the label "Western Breed Records" specifically to release Hell Paso and Alfaro Vive, Carajo!, At the Drive-in's first two releases.
