Tony Camin
Tony Camin is an American standup comedian and television writer living in New York City. Career Camin currently performs at comedy clubs throughout the United States. He has appeared at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, the Just for Laughs Festival, Bumbershoot as well as on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Camin is co-creator of The Marijuana-Logues, an Off-Broadway comedy show he wrote and performed along with Arj Barker and Doug Benson with a year-long run at The Actors Playhouse in New York City. Camin co-hosted a live late-night talk show called "Broin' Out" at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York in 2006-2007. Camin wrote for the television show Web Junk 20 and was part of the famously embattled staff of The Mike O'Malley Show. ''The Mike O'Malley Show'' is an American sitcom on NBC that aired two episodes. The series star, Mike O'Malley, created and executive produced the series with Les Firestein. Synopsis Mike (Mike O'Malley), a 30-year-old hockey enthusiast who lives with his friend Weasel (Mark Rosenthal) in New Haven, Connecticut. After attending the wedding of his friend Jimmy (Will Arnett), Mike begins to reassess his life and decides it's time to grow up. The "Comedy Condo", also known as "The 336", had housed San Francisco comedians since 1986. Located at 336 21st Avenue, the space was first rented by Dana Gould, writer on ''The Simpsons'' and Alex Reid the head writer of ''Malcolm in the Middle''. Many comedians lived in the three bedroom unit over the next nineteen years including Kevin Kataoka, John Hoogasian, Mark Nadeau, Steve Mazan, Ryan Stout, Mike Spiegelman, Tony Camin, Ron Lynch, Jim Farrell, Barry Lank, Dan Spencer, and Karen Anderson. Holy City Zoo
The Holy City Zoo, which called itself "the comedian's clubhouse", was a small but influential comedy club in San Francisco that operated from the mid-1970s to the mid-1990s. Description The Holy City Zoo was located at 408 Clement Street between 5th and 6th Avenues in San Francisco's Richmond District. It was a tiny dark cavern that had a maximum occupancy of 78. The bar sold beer, wine and soft drinks. There was a small stage set against the back wall. A few stairs stage left led to a small balcony known as "The John Wilkes Booth." History The club got its name from a sign the first owner, Robert Steger, picked up for free at a going-out-of-business sale at the local zoo in Holy City, California. KFJC (89.7 FM) is a non-commercial college radio station in Los Altos Hills, California, at Foothill College, using a variety radio format that features a broad spectrum of music styles and public affairs programming.
