Tommy Jordan
Tommy Jordan is a Gaelic football manager. He managed Crossmolina Deel Rovers to the 2000–01 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship and, after unsuccessfully applying for the role of senior manager of the Mayo county team, later managed the Sligo county team from 2007, shortly after the county had won the Connacht Senior Football Championship. The Sligo appointment meant that, with John Maughan already managing Roscommon, two men from the same club were managing two of Connacht's five counties. Because Sligo were relegated to Division 4 of the National Football League, the GAA forced the reigning Connacht champions to participate in the Tommy Murphy Cup instead of the All-Ireland qualifiers when they exited the provincial championship; the county's exit to London in that competition after many players (including Eamonn O'Hara) declined to participate, led Jordan to resign. Castlerea Prison
Castlerea Prison () is a closed category, medium security prison in Castlerea, County Roscommon, Ireland. It houses men over 17 years of age. As of 2009, it had a bed capacity of 351 and the daily average number of resident inmates was 306. History Castlerea was established as part of the system of district mental hospitals in 1939. Operating intermittently as a tuberculosis sanitorium, it continued to function as a hospital until 1994 when it was closed. It was renamed St. Patrick's Hospital during the 1960s. From 1996 it opened as a prison accepting a small intake of inmates that year. Construction work on the main cell blocks of the prison was completed in 1998. Kevin Walsh (Gaelic Footballer)
Kevin Walsh (born 5 November 1969 in Galway) is an Irish Gaelic football coach, manager and former player. He won three All Stars and two All-Ireland Senior Football Championships while playing at senior level for the Galway county team. Walsh served as manager of the senior Sligo county team from 2008 to 2013 and his native Galway from 2014 to 2019. Playing career An effective midfielder, Walsh played at club level with Killannin, winning intermediate county titles in 1991 and 2014 against near neighbours Moycullen at 45 years of age and at inter-county level with Galway. Stephen Rochford
Stephen Rochford (born 10 October 1978) is an Irish Gaelic football coach and former manager and player. He was manager of the senior Mayo county team from 2015 to 2018. Raised in Crossmolina, County Mayo, Rochford was educated at Crossmolina Boys' National School and Gortnor Abbey. He was introduced to football by primary school teacher John Cosgrove and Crossmolina coach Tom McNulty. He won Connacht School titles for Gortnor Abbey, playing under Gerry Leonard. He simultaneously came to prominence at juvenile and underage levels with the Crossmolina team, winning a county under-21 championship medal in 1997. By this stage Rochford had joined the Crossmolina senior team and won an All-Ireland medal in 2001. He also won three Connacht medals and six County Senior Championship medals. Eamonn O'Hara
Eamonn O'Hara (born 6 September 1975) was until 2013 the longest-serving Gaelic footballer at senior level. He first played in 1994 before officially announcing his retirement from inter-county football on 14 May 2013. He plays for his local club Tourlestrane and, though he also played at senior level for the Sligo county team, where he was a long-serving talisman. O'Hara still won one All Star during his career and was twice called up for Ireland in the International Rules Series. Since retiring, he has become involved in punditry and management. Tommy Murphy Cup
The Tommy Murphy Cup was a Gaelic football competition, featuring senior county teams eliminated from the early stages of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship and also Kilkenny when not fielding a team in the main All-Ireland. The series of games, organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association, were played during the summer months with the final being played in August at Croke Park. The Cup was named after Tommy Murphy, a footballer from County Laois who was, appropriately for the competition, the only member of the Team of the Millennium from a county which had not won an All-Ireland. Later changes to the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship meant that the 2008 Tommy Murphy Cup featured the eight lowest-ranking teams in National Football League, unless the teams reached the final of their respective provincial championships.
