Tommy Carr (Gaelic Footballer)
Tommy Carr is an Irish strength and conditioning coach and former Gaelic footballer who played for the Dublin county team. He later became involved in coaching and media work. Playing career Carr received an All Star in 1991 in the same year that he won a National Football League medal with Dublin. He won his second league medal with Dublin in 1993. Managerial career Carr was the Dublin manager between 1997 and 2001, a period that proved an unsuccessful period for Dublin. During this era the current Dublin manager, Dessie Farrell, was the captain of the Dublin football team until Carr was replaced by Tommy Lyons. Carr was an advisor to the Wexford senior football team "on physical fitness and mental attitude matters" in 2002 under the management of Ger Halligan. Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). The GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship, known simply as the All-Ireland Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). Declan Carr
Declan Carr (born 30 July 1965) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a midfielder for the Tipperary senior team. Carr joined the team during the 1988-89 National League and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until he quit the panel after the 1993-94 National League. He made a brief return for the 1999 championship. During that time he won two All-Ireland medals, three Munster medals, one National League medal and one All-Star award. Carr captained the team to the All-Ireland title in 1991. At club level Carr is a one-time county club championship medalist with Holycross–Ballycahill. This is achieved through the combination of strength training, aerobic conditioning, and other methods. Unlike an athletic trainer, a strength and conditioning coach is focused primarily on sport performance. The coach help athletes with injury prevention, through strengthening and coaching of movement mechanics within a sport.
