Tommo
Tommo Inc. is an American video game publisher based in City of Industry, California. Founded in 1990, Tommo started out as a small independent distributor of imported video games. Since 2006, Tommo also operates a publishing subsidiary, UFO Interactive Games, which is best known for publishing original games, such as several titles in the '' Raiden'' series. History In July 2013, Tommo successfully placed a bid on a majority of assets held by Atari during the company's bankruptcy sale. The sale included assets related to Humongous Entertainment, GT Interactive, Accolade and over one-hundred titles. In January 2014, Tommo relaunched the Humongous brand and began re-releasing the company's Junior Adventure titles onto Steam. In October 2014, in conjunction with Night Dive Studios, Tommo launched its Retroism publishing label, which specializes in the re-release of classic video game titles into digital distribution channels. Bubsy
''Bubsy'' is a series of platforming video games created by Michael Berlyn and developed and published by Accolade. The games star an anthropomorphic bobcat named Bubsy, a character that takes inspiration from ''Super Mario Bros.'' and '' Sonic the Hedgehog''. The games were originally released for the Super NES, Mega Drive/Genesis, Game Boy, Jaguar, PC and PlayStation during the 1990s. The UnderGarden
''The UnderGarden'' is a casual puzzle game released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It uses a 2D platforming game style with puzzle elements including physics puzzles, and a floating player character. Two player cooperative play was also included. The game was marketed as a 'casual Zen game'. Tommo purchased the rights to this game and digitally publishes it through its Retroism brand in 2015. Reception The game received mixed reviews; it received praise for the appearance and musical presentation, as well as the peaceful or relaxing ambience and broad range of appeal, though actual gameplay was considered by some reviewers to be limited, lacking complexity, or dull in the long-term. ''Silent Service II'' is a submarine simulation game developed and published by MicroProse for MS-DOS in 1990 and for the Amiga in 1991. It is a sequel to 1985's '' Silent Service'', also set in the Pacific Ocean during World War II. Tommo purchased the rights to this game and digitally publishes it through its Retroism brand in 2015. Gameplay ''Silent Service II'' allows the player to choose either single scenarios (training, a single historical battle, or a single random encounter war patrol) or an extended war career. In the career mode, the player undertakes a number of consecutive patrols in the submarine, meeting other ships or convoys in unscripted encounters generated by the game. The player is able to select a home port and a patrol area on a map of the Pacific Ocean, and time acceleration allowed the submarine to move quickly to the chosen area. ''BloodNet'' is a cyberpunk-themed role-playing video game video game developed and published by MicroProse for MS-DOS in 1993. An Amiga port was released in 1994 by Catfish and Teeny Weeny Games. An emulated version for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux was released in 2014.
