Tomasz Gudzowaty (born 1971) is a Polish documentary filmmaker, portrait and art photographer, who gained international recognition through numerous publications and awards, most notably – in World Press Photo in which he succeeded nine times. He is also a multiple winner or finalist of such competitions as: Pictures of the Year International, NPPA's Best of Photojournalism, International Photography Awards, B&W Spider Awards, and National Portrait Gallery's Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize. He traveled to over 100 countries on all continents for his photographic projects, pursuing diverse subjects, with special focus on wildlife, sport, and social issues. In recent years, portraiture has become essential in his photography. Aleksander Gudzowaty (22 September 1938 – 14 February 2013) was a Polish people, Polish businessman and economist, and one of Poland's wealthiest people. Biography Gudzowaty graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Trade at the Łódź University. From 1975 to 1979, he acted for two leading Polish foreign trade enterprises representing the entire Polish textile industry in Moscow. From 1978 to 1993, he served as Director General of PHZ Kolmex S.A. - a railway sector company; during that time he executed one of their largest contracts ever to supply freight wagons for Iraqi Railways. Margaret Mahy
Margaret Mahy (21 March 1936 – 23 July 2012) was a New Zealand author of children's and young adult books. Many of her story plots have strong supernatural elements but her writing concentrates on the themes of human relationships and growing up. She wrote more than 100 picture books, 40 novels and 20 collections of short stories. At her death she was one of thirty writers to win the biennial, international Hans Christian Andersen Medal for her "lasting contribution to children's literature". Mahy won the annual Carnegie Medal twice. It recognises the year's best children's book by a British subject, and she won for both '' The Haunting'' (1982) and '' The Changeover'' (1984). Linhof
Linhof is a German company, founded in Munich in 1887 by Valentin Linhof. The company is well known for making premium rollfilm and large format film cameras. Linhof initially focused on making camera shutters and developing the first leaf shutter, which became part of Compur. The Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School (also known as ''Katowice Film School'') is a polish film and television school established in 1978 and based in Katowice, Poland.
