Tom Wham (born 1944) is a designer of board games who has also produced artwork, including that for his own games. Career Early life and Guidon Games Born in Chester, Illinois, Wham worked a variety of odd jobs during his early adult life. After serving four years in the U.S. Navy, he worked for the Guidon Games hobby shop in Maine where he got his first game, a variant on a Civil War naval miniatures campaign, published. One of Wham's books was published in the same series of "Wargaming with Miniatures" books from Guidon Games that began in 1971 with ''Chainmail''. In 1972, Wham got a job with Don Lowry at Guidon Games, in the shipping/layout department of ''Campaign'' magazine; there, he co-authored a set of Civil War naval miniature rules, ''Ironclad''. Tim Kask
Timothy James Kask (born January 14, 1949) is an American editor and writer in the role-playing game industry. Kask became interested in board games in his childhood, and later turned to miniatures wargames. While attending university after a stint in the US Navy, he was part of a group that playtested an early version of the new role-playing game ''Dungeons & Dragons'' (D&D) for game co-designer Gary Gygax. Gygax hired him as the first employee of TSR, Inc. in 1975. After editing some of TSR's early ''D&D'' publications, Kask became editor of ''The Strategic Review'', which later became '' The Dragon'', and then ''Dragon Magazine''. Kask left TSR in 1980 to publish a new magazine, '' Adventure Gaming'', but when that failed, he left the games industry in 1983 and spent some time as a freelance editor and speechwriter before becoming a teacher. Brian John Blume (January 12, 1950 – March 27, 2020) was an American game designer and writer, principally known as a former business partner of Gary Gygax at TSR, Inc., original publishers of the fantasy role-playing game ''Dungeons & Dragons''. Mike Carr (game Designer)
Mike Carr (born September 4, 1951) is a writer and game designer. Career Early years While still a teenager living in Saint Paul in 1968, Carr created a game called '' Fight in the Skies'' (also known as ''Dawn Patrol''). He was invited to present and referee the game at the very first Gen Con convention in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, but had to convince his parents to drive him to Lake Geneva for the weekend. While at Gen Con, he met the convention's organizer, Gary Gygax, and quickly became an acquaintance. Three years later, he co-authored ''Don't Give Up The Ship!'' with Gygax and Dave Arneson. Carr began wargaming with the International Federation of Wargamers as a teenager. The beholder is a fictional monster in the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' fantasy role-playing game. It is depicted as a floating orb of flesh with a large mouth, single central eye, and many smaller eyestalks on top with powerful magical abilities. Advanced Dungeons & Dragons

Dave Trampier
David A. Trampier (April 22, 1954 – March 24, 2014) was an artist and writer whose artwork for TSR, Inc. illustrated some of the earliest editions of the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' role-playing game. Many of his illustrations, such as the cover of the original ''Players Handbook'', became iconic. Trampier was also the creator of the '' Wormy'' comic strip that ran in ''Dragon'' magazine for several years. At the height of his career in the late 1980s, Trampier suddenly withdrew from the gaming world and became a social recluse.
