Tom King (comics)
Tom King (born July 15, 1978) is an American author, comic book writer, and ex-CIA officer. He is best known for writing the novel ''A Once Crowded Sky'', '' The Vision'' for Marvel Comics, '' The Sheriff of Babylon'' for the DC Comics imprint Vertigo, and '' Batman'' and ''Mister Miracle'' for DC Comics. Early life King primarily grew up in Southern California. His mother worked for the film industry which inspired his love of storytelling. He interned at both DC and Marvel Comics during the late 1990s. He studied both philosophy and history at Columbia University, graduating in 2000. He identifies as "half-Jewish, half-midwestern". Career King interned both at DC Comics and Marvel Comics, where he was an assistant to ''X-Men'' writer Chris Claremont, before joining the CIA counterterrorism unit after 9/11. Christopher S. Claremont (; born November 25, 1950) is a British-born American comic book writer and novelist, known for his 17-year stint on ''Uncanny X-Men'' from 1975 to 1991, far longer than that of any other writer,Claremont, Chris. Omega Men
The Omega Men are a fictional team of extraterrestrial superheroes who have appeared in various comic book series published by DC Comics. They first appeared in ''Green Lantern'' (vol. 2) #141 (June 1981), and were created by Marv Wolfman and Joe Staton. Publication history After appearances in ''Green Lantern'', ''Action Comics'' and '' The New Teen Titans'', the Omega Men were featured in their own comics series which ran for 38 issues from April 1983 to May 1986. Dick Grayson
Richard John "Dick" Grayson is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly in association with Batman and Teen Titans. Created by writer Bill Finger and artist Bob Kane, he first appeared in ''Detective Comics'' #38 in April 1940 as the original and most popular incarnation of Robin, Batman's crime-fighting partner. In ''Tales of the Teen Titans'' #44 (July 1984), the character, after becoming a young adult, retires his role as Robin and assumes the superhero persona of Nightwing (created by Marv Wolfman and artist George Pérez). Nightwing
Nightwing is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character has appeared in various incarnations; the identity was adopted by Dick Grayson when he left his role as Batman's vigilante partner Robin. Although Nightwing is commonly associated with Batman, the title and concept have origins in classic Superman stories. The original Nightwing in DC Comics was an identity assumed by alien superhero Superman when stranded on the Kryptonian city of Kandor with his friend Jimmy Olsen. Drawing inspiration from Batman and Robin, the two protect Kandor as the superheroes Nightwing and Flamebird.
