Tom Highmore
Tom Highmore (born 24 February 1998) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the St Kilda Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted as a 22-year-old in the 2020 AFL Draft at pick number 45 overall. Early life Highmore was raised in the Canberra suburb of Tuggeranong and played the Tuggeranong Lions as a junior, winning a premiership with his under 12s side which was coached by his father. Highmore then played several seasons for the Tuggeranong Hawks before moving to Marist College where he was eventually recruited to NEAFL side Eastlake during his year 11 schooling. In 2016 Highmore was eligible to be drafted by GWS via their Academy (where he also trained with fellow Academy prospect and future St Kilda teammate Jack Steele), but was ultimately overlooked. Jack Steele (born 13 December 1995) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the St Kilda Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Greater Western Sydney Giants from 2015 to 2016. Steele has won two Trevor Barker Awards and is a dual All-Australian. He served as St Kilda co-captain in 2021, and has served as the sole captain since the 2022 season. Early life Steele is from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (ACT). 2021 AFL Season
The 2021 AFL season was the 125th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior men's Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured eighteen clubs, ran from 18 March until 25 September, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. The season was played during the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic, and saw disruptions but to a much lesser extent than the 2020 season. Virus outbreaks resulted in restrictions on crowds and the relocation of forty games outside their originally fixtured states, but the season was played without suspension and with only minor disruptions to the scheduled dates of matches. The premiership was won by the Melbourne Football Club for the 13th time, after it defeated the by 74 points in the 2021 AFL Grand Final, which was played at Optus Stadium in Perth. Callum Wilkie (born 10 March 1996) is an Australian rules footballer playing for in the Australian Football League (AFL). A defender, he played in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) and was overlooked at four national drafts before St Kilda selected him with pick 3 in the 2018 AFL draft#Rookie draft, 2019 rookie draft. Wilkie debuted in the opening round of the 2019 season and is yet to miss an AFL match for St Kilda since his debut, playing 63 consecutive matches. Brett Ratten (born 11 July 1971) is an Australian rules football coach and former player in the Australian Football League (AFL). He played 255 games for the Carlton Football Club between 1990 and 2003, including the club's 1995 premiership. He then served as Carlton's senior coach from 2007 to 2012.
