Todd Stepsis
Todd Stepsis is an American football coach. He is the head football coach at Drake University, a position he has held since the 2019 season. Coaching career Following his career at Ashland University, Stepsis began his coaching career at Otterbein University in 1999. He then spent eight seasons at Capital University and six seasons as defensive coordinator at Saginaw Valley State University. He joined the staff at Drake in the same position for the 2014 season. Following five seasons in this role, Stepsis was promoted to head coach following the resignation of Rick Fox following the 2018 season. He was previously the defensive coordinator. Shelby is a city in Richland County in the U.S. state of Ohio, northwest of the city of Mansfield. It is part of the Mansfield, Ohio Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 9,317 as of the 2010 census. History Shelby was originally called Gamble's Mills, and under the latter name was platted in 1834. On April 14, 2019, Shelby was struck by a long tracked EF2 Tornado with winds of 120-125 MPH. At its peak, the tornado was a half mile wide. The tornado damaged more than half a dozen homes, as well as a car dealership on the south of side of Shelby. The 2022 NCAA Division I FCS football season, part of college football in the United States, was organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level. The 2020 Drake Bulldogs football team represented Drake University as a member of the Pioneer Football League (PFL) during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The season was suspended in the fall of 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic and played in the spring of 2021. Led by second-year head coach Todd Stepsis, the Bulldogs compiled an overall record of 2–3 with an identical mark in conference play, placing fifth in the PFL. The team played its home games at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa. Schedule Drake had a game scheduled against on September 3, which was later canceled before the start of the 2020 season.
