Todd Jordan
Todd Jordan (born June 18, 1970) is the mayor of Tupelo, Mississippi. He is a former Canadian football punter who played one season with the San Antonio Texans of the Canadian Football League. He played college football at Mississippi State University. He was also a member of the Las Vegas Posse. Football career College career Jordan played for the Mississippi State Bulldogs as a quarterback and punter from 1989 to 1993. He recorded 2,741 yards and fourteen touchdowns while completing 205 of 440 passes during his college career. He also accumulated 4,793 punting yards on 112 punts. College Statistics Professional career Jordan was on the Las Vegas Posse's practice roster in 1994 and became a free agent when the team folded. Tupelo, Mississippi
Tupelo () is a city in and the county seat of Lee County, Mississippi, United States. With an estimated population of 38,300, Tupelo is the sixth-largest city in Mississippi and is considered a commercial, industrial, and cultural hub of North Mississippi. Tupelo was incorporated in 1866. The area had earlier been settled as "Gum Pond" along the Mobile and Ohio Railroad. On February 7, 1934, Tupelo became the first city to receive power from the Tennessee Valley Authority, thus giving it the nickname "The First TVA City". Much of the city was devastated by a major tornado in 1936 that still ranks as one of the deadliest tornadoes in American history. 1995 CFL Season
The 1995 CFL season was the 38th season of the Canadian Football League, and the 42nd in modern-day Canadian football. CFL news in 1995 Expansion, relocation, folding and realignment Two more United States-based teams were admitted, the Birmingham Barracudas and the Memphis Mad Dogs. In the off-season the Sacramento Gold Miners moved to San Antonio to become the San Antonio Texans. The Texans would play their home games at the Alamodome, which is the only American stadium designed and built to accommodate a regulation Canadian football field.
