Tobiasz Musielak
Tobiasz Musielak (born 18 August 1993 in Leszno, Poland) is a Polish motorcycle speedway rider who rode for the Wolverhampton Wolves in the Elite League and has also ridden for Swindon Robins and Sheffield Tigers. Career Musielak, the younger brother of fellow Speedway rider Sławomir Musielak, mirrored the early career of his brother by starting his career with Unia Leszno who Tobiasz still rides for today after first riding for them in 2009. In 2011 he became a member of the Polish national junior speedway team, and in 2012 he was the runner-up in the Individual Speedway Junior European Championship. Musielak was given his first opportunity in British Speedway by the Wolverhampton Wolves who named him in their 2015 line-up. Wolves promoter Chris Van Straaten described Musielak as "a really entertaining rider and a really exciting prospect". The 2023 Sports Insure SGB Premiership is the 88th season of the top tier of British speedway and the 6th known as the SGB Premiership. There was an increase of one team after the Leicester Lions opted to move up from the SGB Championship. 2023 summary Seven clubs will compete for the league championship, with Leicester Lions joining the from the division below. Each club will race against each other four times (home and away twice), meaning a total of 24 fixtures each. The 'Super Heat' scoring system was retained from the 2022 season, however extra points for away fixtures have been scrapped in favour of an aggregate bonus point. The top four teams in the league will qualify for the playoffs, with the two semi-final winners then reaching the Grand Final. The points limit remains 39 points for six riders, with one additional 'rising star'. Elite League (speedway)
The Elite League was the top division of speedway league competition in the United Kingdom, governed by the Speedway Control Bureau (SCB), in conjunction with the British Speedway Promoters' Association (BSPA). It was sponsored by Sky Sports until the end of the 2013 season. In 2016, the Elite League featured 8 teams, unlike 10 in 2014, during a season which ran between March and October. Each team had a designated race day on which they normally staged their home fixtures, and they regularly had home and away fixtures scheduled in the same week.
