The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) is a professional darts organisation in the United Kingdom, established in 1992 when a group of leading players split from the British Darts Organisation (BDO) to form what was initially called the World Darts Council (WDC). Sports promoter Eddie Hearn is the PDC chairman. The PDC developed and holds several championship competitions, including the annual PDC World Darts Championship, the World Matchplay, World Grand Prix, UK Open, Premier League, and Grand Slam. PDC European Tour
The PDC European Tour is a series of darts tournaments held across Europe organized by the Professional Darts Corporation. Starting in 2012 with five events, the number of events has steadily risen with eight held in 2013 and 2014, nine in 2015, ten in 2016, twelve in 2017, thirteen in both 2018 and 2019, and thirteen once more in 2020 (although that was reduced to four, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic), and only two events took place in 2021, with a return to thirteen events in 2022. These events see the top players on the PDC ProTour Order of Merit compete against players from six different regional qualifiers. Currently the prize fund for each tournament is £140,000, with £25,000 going to the winner. Maik Kuivenhoven (born 25 September 1988) is a Dutch professional darts player currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career In 2018, he qualified for his first PDC European Tour event, when he won one of the eight West/South European qualifying slots for the 2018 German Darts Open. A second round defeat in Saarbrücken was the biggest achievement of Kuivenhoven's 2018, but in January 2019 he attempted PDC European Q-School attempting to win a two-year Tour Card. Stephen Bunting
Stephen Bunting (born 9 April 1985) is an English professional darts player who competes in events of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Nicknamed The Bullet, Bunting won the 2014 BDO World Darts Championship and is a twice former World Masters champion. Darts career Beginnings Bunting won both the British Teenage Open and the World Youth Masters in 2001 and also captured the WDF Europe Youth Cup in 2002. He made his BDO World Darts Championship debut in 2004 aged 18, where he beat Vincent van der Voort in the first round before losing in the second round to former World Champion Ted Hankey.
