Spanish ( or , Castilian) is a Romance languages, Romance language of the Indo-European language family that evolved from colloquial Latin spoken on the Iberian peninsula. "Macarena" is a dance song by Spanish pop duo Los del Río, about a woman of the same name. The song uses a type of clave rhythm. Originally appearing on the 1993 album '' A mí me gusta'', a subsequent remix by Miami-based producers The Bayside Boys became an international hit and inspired a dance craze in the latter half of 1996 and part of 1997. Cristina Lasvignes Martín (born 9 January 1978) is a Spanish television presenter, radio broadcaster, journalist and businessperson. A journalism graduate of the Complutense University of Madrid, she began her broadcasting career in local television before directing the Cadena SER radio show '' To Talk For The Sake Of Talking'' that she would go on to present from September 2006 to March 2009. Francisco Nicolás Veza Fragoso (born 6 December 1970), known as Paqui, is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a left back. He played professionally for six clubs during 16 years, mainly Tenerife and Las Palmas. Club career Paqui was born in Alicante, Province of Valencia. An unsuccessful FC Barcelona youth graduate (only played for the Catalans' B-team) he went on to represent CD Tenerife, Real Zaragoza, Hércules CF and UD Las Palmas; he was instrumental in the latter's 2000 return to La Liga, and also served a loan to fellow league club CA Osasuna whilst under contract.
