Tiraspoltransgas-Pridnestrovie (russian: Тираспольтрансгаз – Приднестровье, also referred as Tiraspoltransgas or Tiraspoltransgaz) is the largest gas supplier in Transnistria, with headquarters in Tiraspol. It was established in 1993. The majority shares of Tiraspoltransgas is probably controlled by Russia's Gazprom, although Gazprom has not confirmed the ownership officially. Tiraspoltransgas handles an annual traffic of 23 to 24 billion cubic meters of Russian gas via Transnistria. Transnistria
Transnistria, officially the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR), is an unrecognised breakaway state that is internationally recognised as a part of Moldova. Transnistria controls most of the narrow strip of land between the Dniester river and the Moldovan–Ukrainian border, as well as some land on the other side of the river's bank. Its capital and largest city is Tiraspol. Transnistria has been recognised only by three other unrecognised or partially recognised breakaway states: Abkhazia, Artsakh and South Ossetia. Tiraspol or Tirișpolea ( ro, Tiraspol, Moldovan Cyrillic: Тираспол, ; russian: Тира́споль, ; uk, Тирасполь, Tyraspol') is the capital of Transnistria (''de facto''), a breakaway state of Moldova, where it is the third largest city.
