Tirana Lyceum
The Qemal Stafa High School is a high school, located in Tirana, Albania. Founded in 1925 by Prime Minister Ahmet Zogu, as the ''Lyceum of Tirana'', it has many notable alumni, of whom 75 died in World War II and 14 were awarded the title People's Hero of Albania during World War II. Fatos Kongoli
Fatos Kongoli (born January 12, 1944) has recently become one of the most forceful and convincing representatives of contemporary Albanian prose. Biography He was born and raised in Elbasan and studied at the Qemal Stafa High School, in Tirana, Albania. Afterwards he studied mathematics in China during the tense years of the Sino-Albanian alliance. Kongoli chose not to publish any major works during the dictatorship. Rather than this, he devoted his creative energies at the time to an obscure and apolitical career as a mathematician, and waited for the storm to pass. His narrative talent and individual style only really emerged, at any rate, in the 1990s, since the fall of the communist dictatorship. Vaçe Zela
Vaçe Zela (; 7 April 19396 February 2014) was an Albanian singer and songwriter. She was a leading figure in the music industry and is considered one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century in Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia. Born in Lushnjë and raised in Tirana within Communist Albania, she developed a great interest in music at an early age before embarking on a professional career as a musician in 1962. An eleven-time winner, she built her reputation as a highly successful musician by winning the first edition of Festivali i Këngës as well as her future victories in the festival. Sandër Prosi
Aleksander "Sandër" Prosi (6 January 1920 – 24 March 1985; rup, Sandãr Prosi) was an Albanian film and theater actor and violin player. He was given the People's Artist of Albania award by the Albanian government. He is considered one of the greatest Albanian actors of all times. Naim Frashëri (12 August 1923 – 18 February 1975) was an Albanian actor. He was named a People's Artist of Albania. Career Frashëri pursued secondary studies at Qemal Stafa High School, in Tirana, Albania. People's Artist Of Albania
The People's Artist () was an honorary title for outstanding art performers of the People's Socialist Republic of Albania, whose merits were exceptional in the sphere of development of the performing arts (theatre, music, cinema and art). It was created by law in 1960 and amended in 1980. The title is no longer given in Albania after the law was amended in 1996. The equivalent of it became the "Grand Master of Work" title, that was also substituted with the "Grand Master" title after a 2001 amendment of the 1996 law. Igli Tare (; born 25 July 1973) is an Albanian retired professional footballer who played as a forward. He is the sporting director at Serie A club Lazio. Tare joined Partizani Tirana as a 9-year-old in 1982, and would later go on to make his debut as a 15-year-old in 1988 before leaving Albania in 1992 to emigrate to Germany. Sulejman Demollari (born 15 May 1964 in Tirana) also known as Sul Demollari is an Albanian former football player and coach. Playing career Early life Demollari was born in Albania's capital Tirana, where he was raised as a child and where he completed his primary education. Klodeta Gjini
Klodeta Gijni (Tirana, 20 August 1964) is a former Albanian high jumper. She is the current national outdoor record holder (1.92 m). It was the only female member of the Albanian team at the first edition of the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki (Finland) from 7 to 14 August 1983. Petrit Dibra (born 15 September 1953 in Tiranë) is an Albanian former footballer who spent his entire career at his hometown club 17 Nëntori Tirana (present day KF Tirana) as a forward.
