Tippi Degré
Tippi Benjamine Okanti Degré (born June 4, 1990) is a French woman best known for spending her youth in Namibia among wild animals and tribes people. In 1997, she was the protagonist of ''Le Monde selon Tippi'', filmed in Namibia and Botswana. When she was 10, Degré wrote ''Tippi My Book of Africa''. In 2002–03, she was the presenter of ''Around the World with Tippi'', six wildlife and environmental TV documentaries. Biography Tippi Degré was born in Windhoek, Namibia, on June 4, 1990, to wildlife photographer-filmmaker parents and was raised in the bush for the first ten years of her life in Southern Africa. She was named after the American actress Tippi Hedren as well as friend of her parents Gert Benjamin Jordaan, a guide they knew in Namibia at the time of Tippi's birth. Giant Banjo Frog
The giant banjo frog, giant pobblebonk frog, giant bullfrog, or great bullfrog (''Limnodynastes interioris'') is a species of frog, endemic to Australia, in the family Limnodynastidae. Fry was the first to recognise the species of Giant Banjo Frog (''Limnodynastes interioris)'' as a distinct subspecies of Banjo Frog (Genus: ''Limnodynastes)'', differing from the similar Southern or Eastern Banjo Frogs ( ''Limnodynastes dumerili'') which occupied most of eastern Australia. Sabine Kuegler (born 25 December 1972 in Patan, Nepal) is a German author. She has written several books, two of which have been translated into English. These two books are related to her uncommon childhood: from age 7 to age 17 she lived with her parents and two siblings in the jungle of Waropen, Papua (province) in Indonesia, with the remote tribe of the Fayu. Her parents were the first whites to live with the newly discovered tribe of about 400 people, who hunted with bow and arrow, ate snakes, insects and worms, and practiced intertribal warfare and revenge killings. Marlice Elretha Jansen van Vuuren (born 14 May 1976 as Marlice Elrethra van der Merwe) is a Namibian conservationist. Together with her husband Dr. Rudie van Vuuren, she runs the N/a’an ku sê Wildlife Sanctuary in central Namibia. Jacques Perrin (born Jacques André Simonet; 13 July 1941 – 21 April 2022) was a French actor and film producer. He was occasionally credited as Jacques Simonet. Early life Jacques André Simonet was born on the Boulevard Port-Royal in Paris on 13 July 1941. Himba People
The Himba (singular: OmuHimba, plural: OvaHimba) are an indigenous people with an estimated population of about 50,000 people living in northern Namibia, in the Kunene Region (formerly Kaokoland) and on the other side of the Kunene River in southern Angola. There are also a few groups left of the OvaTwa, who are also OvaHimba, but are hunter-gatherers. Culturally distinguishable from the Herero people, the OvaHimba are a semi-nomadic, pastoralist people and speak OtjiHimba, a variety of Herero, which belongs to the Bantu family within Niger–Congo.
