Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of , all land. Lawrence Township forms the western, southern and eastern borders of Lawrenceville. The township is bordered by the Towns of Tuscarora, Lindley, and Caton in Steuben County, New York to the north, Jackson Township to the east, Tioga Township to the south, Farmington Township to the south and west and Nelson Township to the west. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 1,721 people, 659 households, and 506 families residing in the township. The population density was 49.9 people per square mile (19.3/km2).
