''Tio år med Agnetha'' (Ten Years With Agnetha) is a 1979 compilation album by Swedish pop singer Agnetha Fältskog, one of the members of ABBA. The album, released when ABBA's international career was at its peak, features the most successful Swedish solo recordings Fältskog made before and during her career with the band and it was her last album on the CBS-Cupol label. Background The album, released in October 1979, included one new recording, "När du tar mej i din famn" (When You Take Me in Your Arms), composed and produced by Fältskog herself in the Polar Studios and with the same musicians and sound engineers (Michael B. Tretow) as on contemporary ABBA recordings. The lyrics were written by Ingela "Pling" Forsman who since has become one of Sweden's most prolific and successful lyricists, with some twenty-five entries taking part in the Melodifestivalen, several of which have also competed in the Eurovision Song Contest. Agneta Åse Fältskog (born 5 April 1950), known as Agnetha Fältskog (), is a Swedish singer, songwriter, and musician. She first achieved success in Sweden with the release of her 1968 self-titled debut album. She later achieved international stardom in the 1970s as a member of the pop group ABBA. The group has sold over 380 million albums and singles worldwide, making it one of the best-selling music acts in history. She is the youngest member of ABBA, and the only one born in the 1950s. After the unofficial break-up of ABBA in December 1982, Fältskog found renewed success later in the decade as a solo artist with three albums and a leading role in a movie. I Don't Know How To Love Him
"I Don't Know How to Love Him" is a song from the 1970 album and 1971 rock opera ''Jesus Christ Superstar'' written by Andrew Lloyd Webber (music) and Tim Rice (lyrics), a torch ballad sung by the character of Mary Magdalene. In the opera she is presented as bearing an unrequited love for the title character. The song has been much recorded, with "I Don't Know How to Love Him" being one of the rare songs to have had two concurrent recordings reach the top 40 of the Hot 100 chart in ''Billboard'' magazine, specifically those by Helen Reddy and Yvonne Elliman, since the 1950s when multi-version chartings were common. ''När en vacker tanke blir en sång'' ("When a Beautiful Thought Becomes a Song") is the fourth Swedish solo album by Swedish pop singer and ABBA member Agnetha Fältskog, which was released in the end of 1971. Album information After producing a large part of her previous album "Som jag är", Agnetha's fiancé Björn Ulvaeus this time produced the entire album. They got married on the 6 July 1971. The recording of the album took place on various occasions during 1971, beginning in May, continuing through July and October and ending on 4 November. As with her previous albums, the recording was assisted by Michael B. Tretow and features Sven-Olof Walldoff and his choir and orchestra. Contrary to its predecessor "Som jag är", which mainly included cover versions and only two new Agnetha compositions, Agnetha's fourth studio album consists almost entirely of her own work. André Pascal (1932–2001), born André Pascal Nicolas di Fusco in Marseille, was a French songwriter and composer. History As an adolescent he was already well versed in French poetry from François Villon to Alfred de Vigny. He could express himself in Alexandrian couplets, and he started to write. A few years later he was adapting well known French songs for his friends in a restaurant trade who would play them on their premises. It was at this time in 1957 that he met Charles Aznavour who gave him the idea of trying to cut out a living in Paris. He wrote his first songs with Paul Mauriat. In 1958 they were prizewinners in le Coq d'or De La Chanson Francaise in Paris with ''Rendez-vous au Lavendou'' which was recorded by Dalida and Henri Salvador, to name but two. Paul Julien André Mauriat ( or ; 4 March 1925 – 3 November 2006) was a French orchestra leader, conductor of Le Grand Orchestre de Paul Mauriat, who specialized in the easy listening genre. He is best known in the United States for his million-selling remake of André Popp's " Love is Blue", which was number 1 for 5 weeks in 1968. Other recordings for which he is known include "El Bimbo", "Toccata", "Love in Every Room/Même si tu revenais", and "Penelope". Stig Erik Leopold Anderson (25 January 1931 – 12 September 1997), better known as Stikkan Anderson, was a Swedish music manager, lyricist and music publisher. He was the co-founder of Polar Music, and is best known for managing the Swedish pop band ABBA. ''Som jag är'' (English: ''As I Am'') is the third solo album by Sweden, Swedish pop music, pop singer and ABBA member Agnetha Fältskog, released in late 1970. Album information The album was co-produced by Little Gerhard (Karl-Gerhard Lundqvist) and Agnetha's boyfriend at the time, Björn Ulvaeus. Recording took place in January 1970 (''"Om tårar vore guld"'') as well as September and October of the same year. All songs were recorded in Metronome Studios, Stockholm. Like on her second album, two of the songs were composed by Agnetha herself ("Om tårar vore guld" and "Jag skall göra allt"), while she wrote the Swedish lyrics to a couple of cover versions. Lotta Engberg
Anna Charlotte "Lotta" Engberg (born Pedersen; 5 March 1963) is a Swedish singer. She represented Sweden in Eurovision Song Contest 1987 with " Boogaloo" after winning Melodifestivalen 1987. She also tried many times in Melodifestivalen in 1984, 1988, 1990, 1996, 2002 and 2012. In popular music, a cover version, cover song, remake, revival, or simply cover, is a new performance or recording by a musician other than the original performer or composer of the song.
