André Pascal
André Pascal (1932–2001), born André Pascal Nicolas di Fusco in Marseille, was a French songwriter and composer. History As an adolescent he was already well versed in French poetry from François Villon to Alfred de Vigny. He could express himself in Alexandrian couplets, and he started to write. A few years later he was adapting well known French songs for his friends in a restaurant trade who would play them on their premises. It was at this time in 1957 that he met Charles Aznavour who gave him the idea of trying to cut out a living in Paris. He wrote his first songs with Paul Mauriat. In 1958 they were prizewinners in le Coq d'or De La Chanson Francaise in Paris with ''Rendez-vous au Lavendou'' which was recorded by Dalida and Henri Salvador, to name but two. In 1960 he represented himself in this competition with ''Dans un million des années''. Henri De Rothschild
Henri James Nathaniel Charles, Baron de Rothschild (26 July 1872 – 12 October 1947) was a French playwright who wrote under the pen names André Pascal, Charles des Fontaines, and P.-L. Naveau. He was also qualified as a physician (although he never actually practiced medicine), a philanthropist, and an entrepreneur. He was a scion of the English branch of the Rothschild family, being the son of James Edouard de Rothschild (1844–1881) and Thérèse von Rothschild (1847–1931). His paternal grandfather was Nathaniel de Rothschild, originally from London, the founder of the French wine-making branch of the Rothschild family. He married, in 1895, Mathilde Sophie Henriette von Weissweiller (1872-1926). Michèle Torr
Michèle Torr (born Michelle Cléberte Tort 7 April 1947) is a French singer and author, best known in non-Francophone countries for her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest for Luxembourg in 1966 and for Monaco in 1977. Early career Born in Pertuis, Vaucluse, Torr won her first singing contest at age fifteen, in 1962, winning the first year's ''On Chante dans mon Quartier'' contest in Avignon. Michèle was a tall beautiful woman with actress-like expression, and easily wins the audience over by singing the Édith Piaf song ''Exodus''. Mireille Mathieu was runner-up that year with ''Les cloches de Lisbonne'' by Maria Candido. Then in 1963, at age sixteen, Michèle won a recording contract with the Mercury label, and opened for Jacques Brel at the Paris Olympia. Nicoletta Grisoni, longer name Nicole Fernande Grisoni-Chappuis, better known by her mononym Nicoletta (born 11 April 1944 in Vongy, now known as Thonon-les-Bains, Haute-Savoie, France) is a French pop singer. The Rose d'Or ('Golden Rose') is an international awards festival in entertainment broadcasting and programming. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) first acquired the Rose d’Or in 1961, when it was created by Swiss Television in the lakeside city of Montreux.
