Tin Heng () is one of the 39 constituencies in the Yuen Long District of Hong Kong. The constituency returns one district councillor to the Yuen Long District Council, with an election every four years. 2003 Hong Kong Local Elections
The 2003 Hong Kong District Council elections were held on 23 November 2003 for all 18 districts of Hong Kong, 400 members from directly elected constituencies out of total 529 council members. It was the second District Council election after the handover of Hong Kong in 1997. The election was historically significant as it was the first election came after the controversies over the legislation of the Hong Kong Basic Law Article 23 and the large-scale July 1 protests in mid-2003 against the unpopular Tung Chee-hwa administration. The election saw the devastating defeat of the pro-government pro-Beijing camp. Luk Chung-hung
Michael Luk Chung-hung (; born 21 September 1978) is a Hong Kong politician. He is a member of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions (HKFTU) and the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB). He is also member of the Yuen Long District Council since 2003 for Tin Heng and member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong for Labour functional constituency elected in the 2016 Hong Kong Legislative Council election. He lost his district council seat in 2019 following a rout of pro-Beijing candidates amidst the 2019–20 Hong Kong protests. 2019 Hong Kong Local Elections
The 2019 Hong Kong District Council elections were held on 24 November 2019 for all 18 District Councils of Hong Kong. 452 seats from all directly elected constituencies, out of the 479 seats in total, were contested. 2021 Arrests Of Hong Kong Pro-democracy Primaries Participants
On 6 January 2021, 53 Hong Kong pro-democracy activists, former legislators, social workers and academics were arrested by the National Security Department of the Hong Kong Police Force under the national security law over their organisation and participation in the primaries for the subsequently postponed Legislative Council election, including six organisers and 47 participants, making it the largest crackdown under the national security law since its passage on 30June 2020. Henry Wong Pak-yu
Henry Wong Pak-yu ( zh, t=王百羽; born 15 February 1991) is a Hong Kong politician and social activist. He is the spokesman of the local community group Tin Shui Wai New Force and also a member of the Information Technology subsector in the Election Committee. In 2019, he won in the District Council election and became a member the Yuen Long District Council for Tin Heng. Biography Wong graduated from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) with a Bachelor of Engineering degree, majoring in Computer Science and Engineering. The 2007 Hong Kong District Council elections were held on 18 November 2007. Elections were held to all 18 districts of Hong Kong, returned 405 members from directly elected constituencies out of total 534 councils member. A total number of 886 candidates contesting in 364 seats, while 41 seats were uncontested. Yuen Long District Council
The Yuen Long District Council () is the district council for the Yuen Long District in Hong Kong. It is one of 18 such councils. The Yuen Long District currently consists of 45 members, of which the district is divided into 39 constituencies, electing a total of 39 with 6 ''ex officio'' members who are the Shap Pat Heung, San Tin, Ha Tsuen, Kam Tin, Ping Shan and Pat Heung rural committee chairmen.
