Azuma Morisaki
was a Japanese film director and screenwriter. Career Morisaki was born in Nagasaki Prefecture and graduated from Kyoto University. After editing the film magazine ''Jidai Eiga'', he joined the Shochiku studio in 1956. Moving from the Kyoto to Ofuna Studio, he wrote screenplays for Yoji Yamada's comedies and made his directorial debut in 1969 with ''Woman Can't Be Beaten''. Known for his earthy, acerbic comedy, he also directed one episode of the ''Otoko wa Tsurai yo'' series. Turning freelance in 1975, he continued to make films. His last film, ''Pecoross' Mother and Her Days'' (2013), was made when he was 86 years old. He died on 16 July 2020 of a stroke at a hospital in Chigasaki, Kanagawa. (July 28, 1944 – March 14, 2017) was a Japanese actor known for portraying Rintaro Kano in ''Keishicho Sosa Ikka 9 Gakari'' ("Homicide Team 9"). He won the award for best supporting actor at the 2nd Japan Academy Prize for '' The Incident'' and at the 3rd Hochi Film Award for '' The Incident'', '' Kōtei no inai hachigatsu'' and ''The Fall of Ako Castle''. His older brother is the actor Tetsuya Watari. Death Tsunehiko Watase died at a hospital in Tokyo on Tuesday, his office said Thursday. He was 72. Watase had been undergoing treatment after a tumor was found in his gallbladder in 2015. He died of multiple organ failure, his office said. Chosen from 4,000 applicants, she dropped out of school to pursue an acting career, playing the part under her real name Masako Odate. is a novelist in late Shōwa period and Heisei period Japan. Biography Muramatsu was born in Tokyo, but was raised in Shimizu, Shizuoka. His grandfather was the noted writer Muramatsu Shofu, and both his father and his mother worked for the literary magazine ''Chūōkōron.'' Muramatsu Tomomi attended Keio University's Literature Department, and on graduation went to work for ''Chūōkōron'' himself as an editor. On the early death of his father, he was adopted by his grandfather, Muramatsu Shofu, as his legal heir. His first published work, a collection of essays, ''Watashi puroresu no kyomi desu'' ("I am a Professional Wrestling Fan"), published in 1980, was a best seller and established him as a mainstream writer.
