Tim Pappas
Tim Pappas (born September 14, 1973 in New York City) is an American racing driver and businessman who competes in the American Le Mans Series with his Black Swan Racing team. He won the 2010 and 2011 American Le Mans Series GTC Drivers Championships and is the president of Pappas Enterprises Inc., his family's four-decade old real estate company. Early racing career Pappas began his professional driving career in 2000 in Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge competition before making select Rolex Sports Car Series starts. In 2005, he drove a BMW 330i to two podiums and six top-ten finishes in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge American Le Mans Series In 2007, Pappas made his debut in the American Le Mans Series with his Team Trans Sport organization. Making 11 starts in his rookie season with Terry Borcheller in a Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, Pappas scored a season-best fourth-place finish in the GT2 category at the Petit Le Mans, while collecting four top-five finishes in total. ...

American Le Mans Series
The American Le Mans Series (ALMS) was a sports car racing series based in the United States and Canada. It consisted of a series of endurance and sprint races, and was created in the spirit of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The American Le Mans' headquarters was in Braselton, Georgia, adjacent to Road Atlanta. In 2014, the series merged with the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series to form the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. History The series was created by Braselton, Georgia-based businessman Don Panoz and ran its first season in 1999. 2014 24 Hours Of Daytona
The 52nd Rolex 24 at Daytona was an endurance sports car racing event held at the Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, Florida, from 23–26 January 2014. The 52nd running of the 24 Hours of Daytona was also the inaugural race for the Tudor United SportsCar Championship as well as the newly merged International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) sanctioning body. As part of the new series, Le Mans Prototype and Le Mans GT Endurance-style cars were eligible to participate for the first time in over a decade. The race was won by Action Express Racing, who led a sweep of the top four positions for Corvettes in the Prototype category. The 2016 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship was the third season of the United SportsCar Championship and first to be under the name as the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship organized by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA). 2014 SportsCar Grand Prix
The 2014 Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix presented by Hawk Performance was a sports car racing event held at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park near Bowmanville, Ontario from July 10 to the 13, 2014. The race was the eighth round of the inaugural Tudor United SportsCar Championship, replacing the former American Le Mans Series that previously held the Grand Prix since 1999. The race marked the 29th IMSA sanctioned sports car race held at the facility. Daytona Prototypes were introduced to the race for the first time as part of the development of the United SportsCar Championship.
