Tim Healy (actor)
Timothy Malcolm Healy (born 29 January 1952) is a British actor from Newcastle upon Tyne, England, best known for playing Dennis Patterson in the comedy-drama series ''Auf Wiedersehen, Pet'', Les/Lesley Conroy in the comedy series ''Benidorm'', and Gastric in the comedy series ''Still Open All Hours''. Early life Timothy Malcolm Healy was born in the Benwell area of Newcastle upon Tyne on 29 January 1952, the son of Sadie (née Wilson) and Timothy Malcolm Healy Sr. He worked as a welder in a factory and joined the British Army, serving part-time in the 4th Battalion, Parachute Regiment. In 1973, he successfully responded to an advert for the Northern Arts School, obtaining a student grant and moving into acting. He was an early member of the Live Theatre Company, a touring company which put on drama productions in community halls and working men's clubs. Phoenix Nights
''Phoenix Nights'' is a British sitcom about The Phoenix Club, a working men's club in the northern English town of Bolton, Greater Manchester. The show is a spin-off from the "In the Club" episode of the spoof documentary series ''That Peter Kay Thing'', and in turn was followed by the spin-off ''Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere''. BBC Choice was a British digital television channel which was owned by the BBC and was launched on 23 September 1998. It was the first British TV channel to broadcast exclusively in digital format, as well as the BBC's second non-analogue-terrestrial channel launch (following on from the BBC News channel in 1997). At launch, BBC Choice mainly existed to supplement existing programming on BBC One and Two, with some low-profile original programming of its own. However, faced with low ratings for both Choice and BBC Knowledge, in 2000 the BBC's digital strategy changed. ''Breeze Block'' is a short-lived British TV series written by Ian Pattison which aired on BBC Choice in 2002. Synopsis Ralph Breeze lives with his wife Iris and children Eric, Carol and Billy in the Byker Wall area of Newcastle upon Tyne. Ralph has lost his confidence after being made redundant and feels that he is a "stopped clock". As he tries to overcome his paralysis, his wife Iris flirts with his brother Tommy and Tommy flirts with Billy. Eric works as a window cleaner and Carol works for lecherous fishmonger Mr Shields. Billy, encouraged (and pimped) by Uncle Tommy, starts work as a gigolo but is rather unsuccessful as he falls in love with each of his clients.
