Tim Hargreaves
Tim Hargreaves (born 30 May 1975) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Hawthorn and Geelong in the Australian Football League (AFL) during the 1990s. A forward, Hargreaves came from the New South Wales town of Berrigan and kicked four goals on his AFL debut, against West Coast at Subiaco. He kicked a further six in his next three games, including another four goal haul against Brisbane, which were complemented by 21 disposals. In 1995 he won the Mirrool silo kicking competition, made famous by Billy Brownless. At the end of the 1996 AFL season he was traded to Geelong in a straight swap for Aaron Lord. He played a semi final at his new club in 1997 but from an individual point of view struggled to make an impact. Hargreaves joined Yarrawonga in 1999 and was a good servant of the Ovens & Murray Football League club for the next decade. Berrigan Football Club
The Berrigan Football Netball Club, nicknamed the Saints, is an Australian rules football and netball club playing in the Picola & District Football League. The club is based in the small town of Berrigan located in the Riverina district of New South Wales. History The Berrigan Football Club's first recorded match was against Cobram, at Cobram in 1891 and initially competed in the Murray Border Football Association in 1895 and 1896, then competed in the Southern Riverina Football Association (SRFA) from 1905 to 1930. Berrigan won ten SRFA premierships against teams such as Finley, Leniston, Tocumwal and Jerilderie. In 1931 and 1932, Berrigan, Finley and Nathalia applied to join the Murray Football League, but were knocked back on the grounds of excessive travel for the other competing club. Aaron Lord
Aaron Lord (born 21 July 1975) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for Geelong and Hawthorn in the AFL. A forward pocket specialist, Lord made his league debut in 1994 with Geelong. After three seasons with the Cats he moved to Hawthorn where he enjoyed his most prolific time up forward. He kicked a bag of 6 goals five times in his career and his best season tally came in 1999 when he topped Hawthorn's goalkicking with 42 goals. In 2002 he returned to Geelong at pick one in the pre-season draft before retiring at the end of the following season. In 2004 Aaron was part of a reality TV show ''The Resort''. The Murray Football Netball League is an Australian rules football and netball league affiliated with the Victorian Country Football League. The league covers a large area of northern Victoria and southern New South Wales from Shepparton in the south to Deniliquin in the north. It covers much the same area as the Picola & District Football League but the teams tend to be the larger communities and towns. The Mulwala Football Club, nicknamed the ''Lions'', is an Australian rules football and netball club based in the town of Mulwala located in the Riverina district of New South Wales. The first recorded match was Mulwala verses Murray Football Club on Saturday, 23 September 1882. The Ovens and Murray Football Netball League (O&MFNL) is an Australian rules football and netball competition containing ten clubs based in north-eastern Victoria, the southern Riverina region of New South Wales and the Ovens and Murray area. The name comes from the Ovens River, the river in the part of north-eastern Victoria covered by the league, and the Murray River, which separates Victoria and New South Wales. The league features three grades in the Australian rules football competition, with these being First-Grade, Reserve-Grade and Under 18s. In the netball competition, there are four grades, with these being A-Grade, B-Grade, C-Grade and Under 16s. Currently a home and away season consisting of eighteen rounds is played.
