Timothy A. Davis (born September 24, 1955) is an American cannabis rights activist, cyclist, gardener, politician, writer, retired warehouse laborer, and disc jockey. A founding member of the Grassroots Party in 1986, Davis was their candidate for Minnesota Lieutenant Governor in 1994, and United States Senator in 1996 and 2012. Davis, who helped establish a Saint Louis, Missouri, chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws in the 1970s, headed the Minnesota branch of the organization during the 1980s and 1990s. Davis, a resident of Minneapolis, is state chairperson of the Minnesota Legal Marijuana Now Party. Early career Tim Davis began his environmental activism career by taking part in the first Earth Day in April, 1970. Timothy Wayne Davis (born June 17, 1958) is an American football coach and former player. Playing career Davis played college football offensive tackle at Chabot College in Hayward, California. He transferred to University of Utah in 1978 and graduated from the Salt Lake City campus in 1982. Davis earned his master's degree in higher education from Wisconsin in 1986. He played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 1981 and for the Los Angeles Express of the United States Football League (USFL) in 1983. Coaching career Davis started his coaching career at the University of Wisconsin, where he was a volunteer assistant in 1983, followed by a two-year stint as a graduate assistant. Tim Davis (born 1969) is an American visual artist and poet, based in New York City and Tivoli, New York. He is the author and subject of several books of photography, plus a book of poetry. He was awarded the Rome Prize in 2007. Life and work Davis was born in Malawi. He graduated from Bard College and earned a Masters of Fine Arts degree from Yale University. Davis' first body of work, β€œOffice Series,” was made in the offices of the small publishing firm where he worked as an editor. Timothy Howard Davis (born July 14, 1970) is an American former professional baseball pitcher who played for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB) from -. Davis was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 6th round of the 1992 MLB draft out of Florida State University. He was first assigned to the Single-A Appleton Foxes of the Midwest League. In 16 games, he was 10–2 with a 1.85 ERA and 89 strikeouts. This performance earned Davis an All-Star berth and a promotion to the High-A Riverside Pilots. Timothy Lawrence Davis (November 29, 1943 – September 20, 1988) was a drummer, singer and songwriter, who co-founded the Steve Miller Band. History Davis was born in Milwaukee and raised in Janesville, Wisconsin. He played on the first five albums released by the Steve Miller Band and contributed lead and background vocals and songwriting. Davis left the band to work with others, such as Ben Sidran, and to commence a solo career. Shortly after his departure from Miller, Davis joined David Lindley in a band supporting Terry Reid, appearing at the Isle of Wight Festival 1970, Isle of Wight Festival in 1970. Davis had a modest hit in 1972, "Buzzy Brown", written by fellow Wisconsin musician and Steve Miller Band co-founder James "Curley" Cooke. Elections were held on November 2, 2010, to determine Missouri's nine members of the United States House of Representatives. Representatives were elected for two-year terms to serve in the 112th Congress from January 3, 2011 until January 3, 2013. Primary elections were held on August 3, 2010.
