Timothy Brown (bassist)
The Boo Radleys are an English alternative rock band who were associated with the shoegazing and Britpop movements in the 1990s. They originally formed in Wallasey, England in 1988, with Rob Harrison on drums, singer/guitarist Simon "Sice" Rowbottom, guitarist/songwriter Martin Carr, and bassist Timothy Brown. Their name is taken from the character Boo Radley in Harper Lee's 1960 novel, ''To Kill a Mockingbird''. Shortly after the release of their first album ''Ichabod and I'', Steve Hewitt replaced Robert Harrison on drums and was in turn replaced by Rob Cieka. The band split up in 1999. In their 11-year-long career, the band had one top ten single, the 1995 single "Wake Up Boo!", which charted at no. 9; and a number one album, '' Wake Up!''. The band reunited in 2021, without original guitarist Martin Carr, and released a single, "A Full Syringe and Memories of You," their first new music since 1998. Timothy (Tim) Brown (born 9 December 1946) is an English choral conductor. Education He was a chorister at Westminster Abbey, and later an alto choral scholar at King's College, Cambridge, under the direction of Sir David Willcocks. Career Following his time in college, Tim went on to become a lay clerk at New College, Oxford, and later worked as a schoolteacher for a number of years. In 1979 he succeeded John Rutter as Director of Music at Clare College, Cambridge and Director of the college choir. In his time at Clare he released several acclaimed recordings with the choir (largely on the Naxos label) by composers including Rutter, Vaughan Williams and Stainer. In 1986 he re-founded the Cambridge University Chamber Choir, directing annual performances of all the major Bach and Handel oratorios. Timothy Brown is a British horn player, a leading chamber musician and co-principal of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. He was a member of the Melos Ensemble in its second phase. He teaches at the Royal College of Music. Career Timothy Brown studied at the Royal College of Music with Douglas Moore and Alan Civil. Timothy Donell Brown (born July 22, 1966) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, where he won the Heisman Trophy, becoming the first wide receiver to do so. He spent sixteen years with the Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders, during which he established himself as one of the NFL's greatest wide receivers of all time. Brown has also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 2015, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Timothy Brown (born October 25, 1984) is a Canadian football running back and kick returner who is currently a free agent. He recently played for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League. He signed with the BC Lions in 2011 and won his first Grey Cup championship that same season. In 2012, he was named a West Division All-Star and the West Division's Most Outstanding Special Teams Player. Brown played for four years with the Lions before he was released. Timothy Tuttle "Tim" Brown (July 24, 1938 – September 14, 1989) was an American former figure skater. He won the silver medal at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships four times and twice captured the silver at the World Figure Skating Championships. He also competed at the 1960 Winter Olympics. In 1961, he earned another berth to the World Championships but did not make the trip due to illness, a move that was fortunate for him, as the entire U.S. Figure Skating team was killed en route to the competition when Sabena Flight 548 crashed near Brussels. Tim Brown (born 6 March 1981) is a New Zealand former professional footballer and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder of footwear company Allbirds. Brown was one of seven foundation players of the Wellington Phoenix, being signed in 2007 for the club's inaugural season in the A-League.
