Tigers Jaw
Tigers Jaw is an American rock band from Scranton, Pennsylvania, formed in 2005. Their first album, ''Belongs to the Dead'', was released in 2006. They released a 7-inch single, "Spirit Desire", in 2009, on Tiny Engines. They released two more albums before announcing a hiatus in March 2013; however, their record label Run for Cover Records announced in August 2013 that the band's breakup was not official. Their fourth album, '' Charmer'', came out in June 2014, and their fifth, ''Spin'', in 2017. ''Spin'' (stylized in all lowercase) is the fifth studio album by American rock band Tigers Jaw. The album charted at number 13 on '' Billboard''s Vinyl Albums chart. Background and recording In 2013, most of Tigers Jaw's original members left the group, leaving vocalist/keyboardist Brianna Collins and vocalist/guitarist Ben Walsh as the remaining members. However, the original members returned to record '' Charmer'' in 2014, which was recorded with producer Will Yip. ''Spin'' was recorded with Yip producing and engineering at Studio 4 Recording in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Justin Anstoltz acted as assistant engineer; Yip and Vince Ratti mixed the recordings, before the album was mastered by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound in New York City. Lemuria was an American rock band formed in 2004 and originally based in Buffalo, New York. After a series of singles and EPs, Lemuria released albums between 2007 and 2017, and toured both the U.S. and internationally. The band relocated to Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2014. In 2020, Vulture named their song "Shit Twins" as one of the 100 greatest emo songs of all time. Gustav Elijah Åhr (November 1, 1996 – November 15, 2017), known professionally as Lil Peep, was an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He was a member of the emo rap collective GothBoiClique. Helping pioneer an emo revival-style of rap and rock music, Lil Peep has been credited as a leading figure of the mid–late 2010s emo rap scene and came to be an inspiration to outcasts and youth subcultures. GothBoiClique (also abbreviated as GBC) is an American emo rap collective based in Los Angeles, California. It was formed in 2012 by Wicca Phase Springs Eternal, Cold Hart, and Horse Head. The group's name comes from a beat that Cold Hart sent to Wicca Phase Springs Eternal. In 2016, the group released a mixtape, ''Yeah It's True''.
