Tianshui–Longnan Railway
The Tianshui–Longnan railway is a planned railway in China. The combined passenger and freight line will be long and has a design speed of . The project is in the design phase as of 2021. The line will take a north-south route, connecting with the Longhai railway and the Tianshui–Pingliang railway in the north, and the Chongqing–Lanzhou railway in the south. History Construction began in November 2020 and is expected to take five and a half years with a cost of 24.323 billion yuan. However in 2021 it was reported that the project was in the preliminary design phase and would commence construction again by the end of that year. Tianshui Railway Station
Tianshui railway station () is a station on Longhai railway in Tianshui, Gansu. The station is served by the Tianshui Tram, which opened in 2020. Since 2017, Tianshui has also been served by Tianshui South railway station on the Xi'an–Baoji High-Speed Railway. History The station was established in 1948, and was the westernmost and last station built by the government of ROC in mainland China. The current station building was completed in 1989 and renovated in 2017. The renovation project was finished on 31 January 2018. Longnan West Railway Station
Longnan () is a prefecture-level city in the southeast of Gansu province in China. It borders Sichuan on its south and Shaanxi on its east. As of the 2020 Chinese census, the population of the prefecture-level city was 2,855,555. Geography and climate Longnan is in southern Gansu province bordering Shaanxi in the east and Sichuan in the south. It is called Gansu's southern gateway and gateway to the northwest. The major geographic features in Longnan are the Qinba Mountains in the east, the Loess Plateau in the north, and the Tibetan Plateau in the west.
