Tiago Filipe Figueiras Gomes (born 19 August 1985) is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played as a central midfielder. Club career Portugal Born in Vila Franca de Xira, Lisbon District, Gomes was part of the S.L. Benfica youth system for a few years, and his first professional seasons were also spent in the Lisbon area, with G.D. Estoril Praia, Clube Oriental de Lisboa and Odivelas FC. He made his debut in Primeira Liga with another team from the capital, C.F. The Primeira Liga (; English: Premier League, also written as Liga Portugal 1), also known as Liga Portugal Bwin for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of the Portuguese football league system. 2009–10 Segunda División
The 2009–10 Segunda División season (known as the Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons) was the 79th since its establishment. The first matches of the season were played on 29 August 2009, and the season ended on 19 June 2010. Real Betis, Numancia and Recreativo de Huelva are the teams which were relegated from La Liga the previous season. The teams which were promoted from Segunda División B were: Cádiz (champion), Cartagena (runner-up), Real Unión (play-off winner) and Villarreal B (play-off winner). The first goal of the season was scored by Quique de Lucas, who scored a seventh-minute goal for Cartagena against Girona in the early kick-off. Tiago Henrique Damil Gomes (born 29 July 1986) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a left-back for F.C. Alverca. Club career Gomes was born in Oeiras, Lisbon District. A product of S.L. Benfica's youth ranks, he spent his first two professional seasons on loan, only appearing for his parent club during pre-season, 2006–07 at C.F. Estrela da Amadora – in the Primeira Liga – where he played with namesake Tiago Filipe Figueiras Gomes, and the following at Poland's Zagłębie Lubin. In August 2008, Gomes signed for CA Osasuna on a free transfer, making no competitive appearances for the Navarrese in his only season.
