Thái Quang Hoàng
Lieutenant General Thái Quang Hoàng (c.1920 – February 22, 1993) was an officer of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam. He was born in Vinh. He served as the commander of III Corps, which oversaw the region of the country surrounding the capital Saigon, from 1 March 1959 until 11 October of the same year, when he was replaced by Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Le. He was the first commander of III Corps.Tucker, pp. 526–533. In 1975, he emigrated to Arlington in the United States. As a self-taught goldsmith, he worked in the family jewellery business. Army Of The Republic Of Vietnam
The Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN; ; french: Armée de la république du Viêt Nam) composed the ground forces of the Republic of Vietnam Military Forces, South Vietnamese military from its inception in 1955 to the Fall of Saigon in April 1975. It is estimated to have suffered 1,394,000 casualties (killed and wounded) during the Vietnam War. The ARVN began as a postcolonial army that was Military Assistance Advisory Group, trained by and closely affiliated with the United States and had engaged in conflict since its inception. Vinh
Vinh () is the biggest city and economic and cultural center of north-central Vietnam. Vinh is the capital of Nghệ An Province, and is a key point in the East–West economic corridor linking Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. III Corps (South Vietnam)
III Corps () was a corps of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN), the army of the nation state of South Vietnam that existed from 1955 to 1975. It was one of four corps in the ARVN, and oversaw the region of the country surrounding the capital Saigon. III Corps was activated in September 1959 and controlled the country south of Phan Thiet excluding Saigon which was controlled by the Capital Military District. In 1962, President Ngô Đình Diệm decided to split the Corps into two, the former III Corps area being reduced in size to cover the area northeast of Saigon and the newly created IV Corps taking over the west and southwest. Cancer
Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body. These contrast with benign tumors, which do not spread. Possible signs and symptoms include a lump, abnormal bleeding, prolonged cough, unexplained weight loss, and a change in bowel movements.
