''Three Ringz'' (stylized as ''Thr33 Ringz'') is the third studio album by American R&B singer T-Pain, It was released on November 11, 2008, by his record label Nappy Boy Entertainment (under the distribution of Akon's label Konvict Muzik, Jive Records, and Zomba Label Group). It was supported by three singles: " Can't Believe It" featuring Lil Wayne, " Chopped 'n' Skrewed" featuring Ludacris, and " Freeze" featuring Chris Brown. Reviews for the album were mixed, because critics were growing weary of the party-filled track listing and overreliance on Auto-Tune. ''Three Ringz'' debuted at number four on the ''Billboard'' 200. Auto-Tune (or autotune) is an audio processor introduced in 1996 by American company Antares Audio Technologies. Auto-Tune uses a proprietary device to measure and alter pitch in vocal and instrumental music recording and performances. Auto-Tune was originally intended to disguise or correct off-key inaccuracies, allowing vocal tracks to be perfectly tuned despite originally being slightly off-pitch. The 1998 Cher song " Believe" popularized the technique of using Auto-Tune to distort vocals.
